I dont know anything about that guy but there is nothing wrong with putting a stop to developmental defects.
I have no doubt that down syndrome children are happy; but i also have no doubt that if, upon them reaching adulthood, someone gave them an option to wave a magic wand that would rid them of down syndrome that they would take that option with little to no thought.
It astounds me how people can be anti-welfare and anti-saftey net, but then when you suggest practical scientific ways to mitigate the need for such things by ensuring that every citizen is 100% physically and mentally capable/healthy from birth, all of a sudden these same "staunch realists" all want to join hands and sing like a bunch of fucking who's down in whoville.

@Carazaa hilarious. It's so arbitrary where you choose to draw the line.
Passing down judgments on people for lifestyle choices is just fine (even though your book straight up says that judgement is the Lord's and no one else's)
Yet when it comes to using medical science to create real actual solutions to real actual problems, now it's wrong to play god?
A perfect baby? No. A healthy baby? Yes. Health is an objective concept that can be systematically proven or disproven through observation.

@Eternity Killing babies is not hilarious. I am not laughing! A life has value regardless of handicap. Nazi Germany desided who had value and who deserved to die. They killed homosexuals, disabled, and Jews. They were murderers, and evil! Christians believe in the value of life regardless of handicap, or sin. That is what God has taught us.

@Carazaa you're so right there!
TheWildEcho · 56-60, M
@Carazaa I don't think he knows the facts of life lol!

@Carazaa the ovarian cycle facilitates pregnancy lady. I think you are the one who is confused here.
I was trying to politely imply that if you have yet to hit menopause then seeing as though each egg is a potential life, every time your body sheds one along with your uterine blood lining in the form of a period you have basically wasted a human life by your own logic.
So yeah. You've killed a lot of babies.

@TheWildEcho you too. If you've ever ejaculated without the intent to reproduce then you have killed millions of potential lives.

@TheWildEcho Now thats funny!😂

@Carazaa yes hes a real comedian!😂

@Eternity So you are perfect? And who should make the judgment who needs to be killed and who isn't killed? God makes all people beautiful in their own way. We are not valued for our ability to think, or walk, or make money, but we are valued for our humanity. I for one believe that we should care for those who can't care for themselves, the young, the old, the handicapped. I am not going to hold a gun to anyone's head telling them you must have an abortion or not because it's her body, but I don't want a society where the doctor plays God!
TheWildEcho · 56-60, M
@Eternity forcing children to be aborted because they don't fit into what certainly aspects of society deem perfect is evil
Eternity · 26-30, M
@TheWildEcho lets not pretend yall are advocating againt forced abortion. No strawmen allowed.
No one even said that.
Y'all dont want people to even have the choice to terminate pregnancies based on disability (or even otherwise, most likely).
Which is an option far more people would choose than youd care to admit
