"In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by him [Spirituality & Religion]
All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.

In him was life; and the life was the light of men.

And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not." John 1
The Word is better translated as Thought or Logic or Stream of Consciousness. Everything that is is the result of the Thought of God. Of course the Thought of God does not act without the Will of God starting it and the Will of God and the Thought of God can not act without the Presence of God in which They can act. Thus the Trinity we know as Yahweh.

@hippyjoe1955 I think the word, is the word of God, the Bible.

@hippyjoe1955 Exactly its sad that the cemetery, ie. seminary fails to teach this to the preachers
hippyjoe1955 · 61-69, M
@Carazaa No. The Bible is not the Word talked about in the opening verses of John. That refers to Jesus who is the Thought of God as opposed to the the Father who is the Will of God and the Holy Spirit which is the Presence of God. God the Word is different than the word of God (Bible).

@SW-User I just read my own Bible.

@SW-User I think that this has more to do with God Revealing Himself to us than being taught at seminary. I was asked to teach a class. The class was made up of all the professors. They all came to me at one point or other to say that they had learned something in my class. I was just opening the Gospel of Matthew and teaching as the Spirit led me. A bit disturbing when I realized who was in my class. They all were Doctors of Divinity and I was nowhere near as educated as they were.

@hippyjoe1955 OK, that might be so but when I read this passage I know that Jesus was the word that became flesh and that is amazing to me.
hippyjoe1955 · 61-69, M
@Carazaa It is truly a MIRACLE above all miracles that the Thought of God should take on human flesh and die in our place. Truly beyond human understanding. I can only imagine the debate within the mind of God. "Shall I destroy mankind?" "Perish the Thought!" "I will save mankind and remake him in My Image".

@hippyjoe1955 Yes, because he loves us. Why would people reject that gift?

@Carazaa Exactly! One has to be completely debased to reject so Great a Gift!
Carazaa · F
@hippyjoe1955 Or deceived by Satan!
@Carazaa @hippyjoe1955 Or aware that you two haven't proven he or his gifts are even real.
hippyjoe1955 · 61-69, M
@LordShadowfire And you haven't disproved them.

@hippyjoe1955 I receive gifts from Santa Claus. No one has disproven Him either. :)
hippyjoe1955 · 61-69, M
@Sharon Santa Claus now gives Eternal Life? I wasn't aware of that. I bet you feel like a complete fool don't you. You certainly seem like a complete fool. Have a nice flame out.

No, that's Odin's gift when I join Him in Valhalla. I hope I'm there to watch you trying to explain youself to Him. It will be really funny watching you make an even bigger fool of yourself. :)

@hippyjoe1955 In case anyone cares I put Sharon on permanent ignore. She has nothing new to contribute to the discussion. If she wants to share her ignorance she can do it without me having to read her nonsense.
