Is Love Evil? [Spirituality & Religion]

God is Love, but the skeptics, who don’t believe that He’s real see Him as an evil God who causes suffering and all kinds of disasters in this fallen world of ours. How can a being, who’s supposed to be not real, cause so much suffering? Is this the only reason why they don’t believe in God? I believe that they have to think this way in order that they can keep their disbelief in Him for if they stated thinking that He is all good, they would have no excuse to keep their disbelief in Him.
4Love suffers long and is kind; love does not envy; love does not parade itself, is not puffed up; 5does not behave rudely, does not seek its own, is not provoked, [c]thinks no evil; 6does not rejoice in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth; 7bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.
8Love never fails. But whether there are prophecies, they will fail; whether there are tongues, they will cease; whether there is knowledge, it will vanish away. 9For we know in part and we prophesy in part. 10But when that which is [d]perfect has come, then that which is in part will be done away. 1 Corinthians 13:4-8

I suspect you only wrote this to provoke response but just in case you were labouring under the belief that this was a logical argument, allow me to point out where it fails in that respect:
but the skeptics, who don’t believe that He’s real see Him as an evil God
Yes. Many atheists view the character of god as described in the bible as evil.
How can a being, who’s supposed to be not real, cause so much suffering?
He can't and doesn't. Here you make the mistake of supposing that the behaviour assigned to the character of god cannot be recognized as good or evil even in the absence of a believe that said behaviour is real.
I believe that they have to think this way in order that they can keep their disbelief in Him for if they stated thinking that He is all good, they would have no excuse to keep their disbelief in Him.
I think at this point i've shown the illogic of this assumption. But to beat this dead horse: One must neither believe nor disbelieve in order to recognize certain acts as good or evil.

Conclusion:

Feel free to continue believing in god but do please refrain in future from repeating this facile argument.

Is love evil? Nah.
Is god love? Nah.

@Pikachu
Yes. Many atheists view the character of god as described in the bible as evil.
There are no such people that are atheists but do go on.
He can't and doesn't.
You guys claim He does which is convenient for you to retain your disbelief in Him.
I think at this point i've shown the illogic of this assumption
No you haven't. All you've ever done was show that you can't prove that Yahweh isn't real and it galls you.

Your little word games are a bore. You and i both understand the group under discussion whether they are referred to as atheists or skeptics.
So yes, let's do get on with it lol

Here you make the mistake of supposing that the behaviour assigned to the character of god cannot be recognized as good or evil even in the absence of a believe that said behaviour is real.
You guys claim He does
Please clarify. You assert that atheists claim that god does what? If so, did you fail to understand the point made in that area?
No you haven't.
lol of course i have. And the fact that you rebutted none of the arguments and replied instead with "w-w-well you can't prove god no real!" shows that you know i did.🤷‍♀️

That galls you.

I will now await what i'm sure will be a prompt and specific rebuttal to the faults in logic i delineated in your original post.

Aaaaand go!

What word games would those be?
Please clarify.
Have you forgotten already?
of course i have.
You're not even close, Pikachu.

Have you forgotten already?🤣 It's literally the next sentence.

Sorry kiddo, i have no time for your dishonest little games. If you grow a pair and actually engage with the ideas like a grownup then you will earn my attention.

Until then i'll treat you like the child your behaviour shows you to be.
I'm putting you on a time out.

Nope, I just don't play word games is all.
