Another nail in the coffin of Young Earth Creationism: Limestone formation. The rate of formation demolishes Noah's flood. [Spirituality & Religion]

Lime stone forms and deposits at a few different rates depending on temperature, water depth and conditions.
I.E. it forms fastest in warm, calm, shallow seas. Young earthers are already in trouble because the Great Flood was anything but calm, shallow or warm.

Unfortunately for young earthers, this utterly precludes the Noachian flood. The rate of precipitation is just too slow. Young earthers hold that the earth is 6000 years old and Noah's flood happened just 2400 years ago.
That's just not enough time, to account for the amount of limestone we see.

To put it in perspective, if we assume the FASTEST POSSIBLE formation rate for limestone, multiply that by TEN and then say the flood actually lasted five THOUSAND years and you still end up with .02% of the limestone we see today.

If you read the coffin plate, it says evolution. The limestone formation gives witness to the great flood and not for evolution.
@GodSpeed63

You're shooting blind as usual.
lol you're not debating evolution in this thread. You're debating geology.
The limestone formation gives witness to the great flood and not for evolution.
Incorrect.
I've given explicit reasons why that interpretation is utterly incompatible with what we observe.

Can you present a counter argument?🤔

@Pikachu
You're shooting blind as usual.
I've already hit the mark but you're missing it by a mile as usual.
@GodSpeed63
I've already hit the mark
lol wrong. You started talking about evolution in a thread about geology. FAIL.

Now answer the question if you are able...

@GodSpeed63

Well?
GodSpeed63 · 61-69, M
@Pikachu
wrong.
According to my God, I'm right.
Incorrect.
According to my God's Word, I'm right again.
@GodSpeed63
According to my God, I'm right.
lol nah. Come on man. Your god is not telling you that you were correct to talk about evolution being disproved in a thread about geology. Don't be silly.
According to my God's Word, I'm right again.
But can you present an argument demonstrating that?
I gave you some specific reasons why a young earth simply cannot account for the limestone deposits we observe today.
Can you speak to that?
GodSpeed63 · 61-69, M
@Pikachu
nah. Come on man
My God, Pikachu, has authority on all fields of science, including geology.
@GodSpeed63

I asked you a straight question. Give a straight answer.
My God, Pikachu, has authority on all fields of science, including geology.
lol good for your god, but YOU still got triggered into an unrelated response when you talked about evolution being disproved in a thread about geology.
Accept it.
GodSpeed63 · 61-69, M
@Pikachu
I asked you a straight question.
And I gave you a straight answer. Let it go at that.
@GodSpeed63
And I gave you a straight answer
No you didn't. I aske you if you could give a counter argument to the one i presented.
With God as your witness, do you really claim you did that?

No? Then stop lying and let it go at that😏

@Pikachu He really is unbelievable. Has absolutely no idea about how to present his case or how to have a logical discussion.
@Bushranger
Yup.
He's a preacher, not a thinker🤷‍♀️

@Pikachu How You Doing Friend
Bushranger · 70-79, M
@Pikachu Not even much of a preacher, if you ask me.
GodSpeed63 · 61-69, M
@Pikachu
No you didn't.
Don't be throwing a tantrum, Pikachu, okay? That's for toddlers.
@GodSpeed63

lol didn't want to answer that question, did ya lil' buddy? Funny how that ALWAYS shuts you up.

You've entered this thread as you always do with a loud mouth and an empty head.
You lack the knowledge and wherewithal to cogently debate this subject.
Let it go at that😁
Bushranger · 70-79, M
@Pikachu If it wasn't so intellectually dishonest, it would be funny. He, and others like him, expect us to present proof but don't believe it's necessary for them to do so. Nice example of double standards.
@Bushranger
If it wasn't so intellectually dishonest, it would be funny
lol i dunno, i still think it's pretty funny. I just don't know why he keeps coming back without preparing himself better.

@Pikachu He Cant Debate Without Sounding Like A Pastor LOL
@JohnOinger

Not a very imaginative pastor either lol

@Pikachu
didn't want to answer that question, did ya lil' buddy?
I see you're still throwing a temper tantrum, Pikachu, lil' buddy. Just let it go and talk to me when your not in such a bad mood, okay?
@GodSpeed63

*yawn*
I'm not interested in your little boy games lol.
I've asked you a straight question and you'll do anything to avoid answering it. Let it go at that🤷‍♀️

Maybe his god isn't very bright. 🤷‍♀️
@Sharon

If he's giving godspeed the directions he claims, then yeah...bit of a dummy lol
