Science can’t explain everything.

@QueenOfZaun
Science can’t explain everything.
Yahweh can explain everything.
QueenOfZaun · 26-30, F
@GodSpeed63 But neither science nor god has all the answers

@QueenOfZaun
But neither science nor god has all the answers
You're talking about gods who have been created. Yahweh is the one true God who lives forever and was never created by man or any other god.
QueenOfZaun · 26-30, F
@GodSpeed63 I’m not religious, so I don’t believe in Yahweh. It’s all nonsense to me;
newjaninev2 · 56-60, F
@GodSpeed63 Your postulation about magical entity explains nothing... it tries to merely explain everything away. None of its supposed explanations are falsifiable, and are therefore of no use whatsoever.
GodSpeed63 · 61-69, M
@QueenOfZaun
I’m not religious,
Good. Neither am I.
GodSpeed63 · 61-69, M
@newjaninev2
Your postulation about magical entity explains nothing.
What magical entity is that?
newjaninev2 · 56-60, F
@GodSpeed63 That Yahweh thing you refer to... the entity that can, according to you, violate the physical laws of the universe (which is the definition of magic).

Ergo, magical entity.
hippyjoe1955 · 61-69, M
@newjaninev2 Being able to overrule the physical laws He instituted is not magic. It is logical. Why would the Creator be bound by the rules of His Creation. There is lots of evidence of His overruling His rules so..... Don't worry toots you can deny your latest brain cramp in the morning. You do it all the time. You are the queen of denial.
newjaninev2 · 56-60, F
@hippyjoe1955 So he can violate the physical laws of the universe?

That’s what magic is!

Imagine a magician saying ‘I’m going to drop this cannonball, and it’s going to hit the floor’. Would that be an impressive feat?

If that Yahweh thing can make the cannonball float, then it’s magical
newjaninev2 · 56-60, F
@hippyjoe1955
There is lots of evidence of His overruling His rules
For example..?
hippyjoe1955 · 61-69, M
@newjaninev2 Your mental condition prevents you from seeing them. Kind of sad but such is the ways of ignorance. The ignorant like are not aware of their ignorance. I could relate hours of accounts of various miracles. You would simply dismiss them. Sucks to be you and so constrained in your mental/spiritual constipation.
Entwistle · 56-60, M
@hippyjoe1955 You need psychiatric help dude.

@Entwistle
@hippyjoe1955 You need psychiatric help dude.
He's well beyond help. :(
hippyjoe1955 · 61-69, M
@Entwistle You have never heard of the term paradigm? If you paradigm precludes miracles then there is no miracle you will ever accept. If your paradigm allows miracles you will see them all around you. You will usually fight them when they are happening but as time goes on you begin to realize that yes miracles do happen and you just witnessed one.
newjaninev2 · 56-60, F
@hippyjoe1955
there is no miracle you will ever accept
I don’t accept unsupported claims of miracles... but I would be happy to accept evidence of miracles
hippyjoe1955 · 61-69, M
@newjaninev2 No you have simply precluded all miracles. Therefore in your narrow little focus there can never be a miracle. Silly you.
newjaninev2 · 56-60, F
@hippyjoe1955
precluded all miracles
Which is the opposite of what I just said
hippyjoe1955 · 61-69, M
@newjaninev2 It is exactly what you just said. You would witness a miracle and deny it. Such is your small mindedness. Such a non scientific approach.
QueenOfZaun · 26-30, F
@hippyjoe1955 Can we just be brutally honest here? Jesus never turned water into wine. He never walked on water. Those were inventions of theological literature. Jesus did not perform miracles. He was only a religious leader who got crucified by Romans. That’s it.
newjaninev2 · 56-60, F
@hippyjoe1955 I’ll repeat it for you... I would be happy to accept evidence of miracles

If you show me evidence of a miracle, then I’m interested.

If you see something and arbitrarily declare it to be a miracle, the why would you expect me (or anyone else) to play along with your wishful thinking and your confirmation bias?
hippyjoe1955 · 61-69, M
@QueenOfZaun And you have proof of that??????? Too funny!!!!
Entwistle · 56-60, M
@hippyjoe1955 So basically you see what you want to see. You label something a miracle whereas a rational thinking person labels it as something he can't yet explain (or indeed can explain).
newjaninev2 · 56-60, F
@QueenOfZaun
turned water into wine
I have been known to perform that process in reverse order 😂
QueenOfZaun · 26-30, F
@hippyjoe1955 Do you have proof it happened?
