I think it can be more dangerous to be raised in a Christian church and not realize what salvation truly is. It isn’t a membership gifted or inherited by your family or parents.

I know that in the Lutheran church which is very similar to the Catholic Church in liturgy that the goal seems to be to complete the Catechism and get confirmed to satisfy the “externals”. You find out quickly how mature in the Faith you actually are.

@Pfuzylogic The problem with different sects is they get caught up in the small details and miss the main point. Cant see the forest through the trees, as they say.

It is simple to do away with the sects/denomination semantics once you realize that Jesus is the core belief. That there is an invisible church sealed by the Holy Spirit that will awaken you to the reality of who you are. At the best, we are sheep dependent on a Living Shepherd.
