Atheists, if your Evolution is so good, how do you explain lemmings? [Spirituality & Religion]

Lemmings like to kill themselves. According to the theory of Evolution all behaviour of animals exists because it makes them stronger as a species.

So how does deciding to kill yourself benefit the species? It doesn't. Only if the lemmings who killed themselves had bad genes, but how would they even know that?

@bijouxbroussard well apparently according to other comments, lemmings aren't suicidal at all and it's just a myth. So [i]thats[i] how I explain them.

@IndigoSavage There’s a mass grave of misguided and lost theists in a city where I once lived, brought back from Jonestown, Guyana. A couple of my former neighbors are among them. They ended up there in their search for God.
I’ve been distrustful of religious fanatics ever since. 🙁
