I was raised as a christian, still visit church and am on board with the idea that christianity is being targeted. However, science does not back up the flood story. Even if I were devoutly christian I would not defend every book that ended up in my version of the bible, out of chance.

@pianoplayingsteve Classical Jesus, or republican Jesus? 🤔

@pianoplayingsteve
However, science does not back up the flood story.
Pseudo science doesn't back up the account of the flood in the Word of God but true science does back it up.

@GodSpeed63 I'm not sure what you are talking about.

No, it does not. DNA analysis kits (23AndMe, Ancestry.com, etc.) report who we really are from a factual and analytical perspective. For example, here's my DNA profile including Neanderthal/Hominin ancestry...
Every human being has in their genes traces of Neanderthal DNA from tens of thousands of years ago, yet these people claim we go back only about 7,000 years. You tell me. The legacy of a generation's old education has left them poorly prepared for a fact-based society so we can't really blame them. However, there's no excuse for ignorance.

What he's really attempting to do is rely on literal interpretation of scripture as the only interpretation and use "1984" Double-Speak (Truth is a Lie, Peace is War) to A) confuse you, and B) plant a seed of doubt in your mind. All because of his lack of proper fact-based education.

These are sales tricks, don't fall for them.

@DudeistPriest Oh I know, I have come across it, before. All word games. Trying to demote verified empirical data to just another word game equal to their word game, which really are just words.

Pseudo science is science that is fake or a lie like the so called 'theory of evolution.' True science is science that is recognizes creation and how God has made it work.

According to whom?
@GodSpeed63 Look it up, you have two hands and a brain.

@GodSpeed63 Creationism isn't science, it's religious propaganda, If dinosaurs had existed during the same period as Man, then how come no evidence of that has ever been found?

@spjennifer He breathes pure love into you and leaves you the Holy Spirit, the Spirit of Truth so you aren't deceived by false teachers, yep, now you know 💛

@Carazaa You might want to have a few words with your fellow Christians (Not sure if they really are) like @pagandad and @hippyjoe1955 because they sure don't present the milk of human kindness, quite the opposite in fact. You at least are consistent and I've never seen a cruel or nasty comment from you to anyone so thank you. I don't agree with your beliefs but I do respect your right to believe them.

Don't worry, he doesn't know either. ;)

@spjennifer That's very kind of you to say that about me! Thank you!! I try to always be loving. The things that have upset me have been when people say mean things about God who is the epitome of love since he has paid for the worlds sins with his own blood, and makes a way for us to get to heaven. And also when people are mean here. God calls us a "peculiar people" and Jesus said we would be mocked so he warned us.
spjennifer · 56-60, T
@Carazaa Like I said, I don't agree with all of the beliefs of Christianity, nor do I try to interpret them to suite a political narrative but I was brought up in a Christian home where we were taught that we are all equal under the eyes of God so I struggle mightily with those who try to exclude or demean others simply because they are brown, gay, dress differently or speak a different language or don't have the same beliefs as ours. If only the ones seeking to exclude or hate or harm others under the guise of Christianity thought the way you do, i'd be fine with that.
