Dear god ..

You said 5:30. Wtf? -the Unicorns

What about unicorns?
@GodSpeed63 The bible specifically references unicorns.

@PicturesOfABetterTomorrow
The bible specifically references unicorns.
So?
@GodSpeed63 It isn't a problem if you are referring to a Harry Potter book. It is a problem if you claim something is scientific and historical.

@PicturesOfABetterTomorrow
It is a problem if you claim something is scientific and historical.
Why?
@GodSpeed63 Because we know fantasy creatures like unicorns, griffons, and hippogriffs are just that, fantasy.

@PicturesOfABetterTomorrow
Because we know fantasy creatures like unicorns, griffons, and hippodromes
That's true. But, the unicorn of the Holy Bible may be a different animal than that of the unicorns in fantasy. We do not know what this animal looked like and may have gone into extinction like the dodo bird and other extinct animals.
@GodSpeed63 Just because it is mentioned in the bible doesn't magically make it different and telling me to try and prove a negative is not a valid argument.

I'm not talking about magic, I'm talking about what people saw in the days this animal lived.
and telling me to try and prove a negative is not a valid argument.
If you can't prove that Yahweh doesn't live, then get used to the fact that He does live. BTW, calling Him a negative is not proof enough.
@GodSpeed63 Interesting you can't cite actual examples.

If the only evidence you have is that you can't prove something doesn't exist you can claim everything from Harry Potter to the Easter bunny are real.

By the same token, if you can't prove that The Flying Spaghetti Monster doesn't live, then get used to the fact that the FSM does live. r'Amen.

BTW, simple saying the FSM doesn't live is not proof enough.

All that proves is that you're a liar, Sharon.

@GodSpeed63
All that proves is that you're a liar, Sharon.
If you seriously believe that's what it proves, it must prove you're a liar too - but we already knew that.
@GodSpeed63 It just proves you can't make a real argument.
GodSpeed63 · 61-69, M
@PicturesOfABetterTomorrow
It just proves you can't make a real argument.
It just proves that you've lost a real argument before you even started, PicturesOfABetterTomorrow.
@GodSpeed63 🤦‍♀️ That makes no sense.

Only children make the argument that something is real based simply on the fact you cannot prove it does not exist.
Sharon · F
@PicturesOfABetterTomorrow That sort of childish behavior seem to be quite common among some christians. They also think childish insults are a valid substitute for reasoned argument. Not surprising really considering they still cling to imaginary friends.
@Sharon The funny thing is I am not even an atheist and I don't understand literalist Christians. For example my original point about light and the sun and stars. Just because you believe in a higher power doesn't mean the laws of physics are optional.

@PicturesOfABetterTomorrow
Only children make the argument that something is real based simply on the fact you cannot prove it does not exist.
Even children can tell the truth and not be believed.
@GodSpeed63 There is a difference between telling the truth and ignoring objective reality to fit your beliefs.

Yahweh is reality. After all, He's its Author. Remember this, belief follows truth and not the other way around.

@GodSpeed63
Yahweh is reality. After all, He's its Author.
Prove it!

Actually, The Flying Spaghetti Monster is reality and I can prove it to at least the same standard as you can prove your "yahweh" is. 😛
GodSpeed63 · 61-69, M
@Sharon
ctually, The Flying Spaghetti Monster is reality and I can prove it to at least the same standard as you can prove your "yahweh" is.
Still passing yourself off as a liar, I see. God willing, one day you'll have your eyes opened. Let's just pray that it won't be too late.
@GodSpeed63 I agree. I believe things because they are true. But I think you misspoke. You clearly believe first and then assume it is true because you believe.

I believe because I experience the world and my faith follows. My faith is experiential not waiting for some god to reveal bits and pieces every few thousands of years. And I don't base my life on and cherry pick a 2000 year old game of telephone.
