I don't know what bible you read, but I read the Word of God (Holy Bible) and that's not how the account reads.

@GodSpeed63 There are several different versions of it so it's clear the god thing couldn't get the story straight and you could be misinterpreting it too. The basic story is fairly simple though. "God" is said to know all, past present and future. Therefore, as it knew what was going to happen, Satan, Eve and, later, Adam had no power to affect the outcome. Doing so would have proveen god wrong and we can't allow that can we?

Even then it would still rely on you interpreting it correctly - which it appears you don't.
