If "happy is the one" who smashes the babies of their enemies on rocks..what kind of morality is the bible offering us here?

By studying the Bible you can see how the Jewish people developed and revolutionized their ethics, during several millenia, from tribal thinking to humanity.
In short, it's "From Violence to Peace".

@Pikachu I tried to say that the early books of the Bible are terribly violent, and sometimes genocidal, whereas the later books are governed by love and peace.
