For Creationists who deny that examples of transitional fossils exist: What would you consider to be the characteristics of a transitional species? [Spirituality & Religion]

At least hypothetically speaking, what would a transitional from need to show in order to be considered a transitional form?

FYI, the scientific understanding of a transitional form is that the organism is a mosaic, i.e. that it shows features belonging to the ancestral group alongside features which belong to the descendant group.
Many such fossils are known to science.

I love what you're doing here.
What's your background (education, work, interests)?
@hartfire

Thanks! I find it worthwhile.
My Background is a middle class family, raised without religion but not anti-religion.
My older brother became a born again Christian and wanted me to read the bible. That's when i started to become familiar with the flawed logic and dogma of Christianity and it made me interested in seeing why and how these people hold on to the beliefs that they do.
