An important aspect of science is being open to and even seeking out that which might disprove your theory. [Spirituality & Religion]

[image]While i am no scientist, to this end i would like to hear from you folks regarding what evidence you feel shows that evolution [c=#BF0000]didn't happen or couldn't happen[/c].

Also, if you have any questions or criticisms of evolution theory, i would be happy to address them to the best of my ability.

I dont know I feel evolution did happen but being a Christian it does make me feel confused. But logically looking at science it could have happened.
Is there still a missing link in the theory or not?
@Cutiepi23

Well no. There's no doubt among the scientific community that the diversity of life on this planet is a result of evolution. It's well understood and there are many concrete examples showing it occurring through history.
Not only that but evolution theory is able to make predictions about what we will find, something creationism just can't do.

If i'm being charitable to to opposition, the only thing that i think could be considered a "missing link" is the fact that we don't know how life ultimately began.
Although i would point out that while we don't know for certain, we have shown experimentally that organic molecules can form from inorganic molecules under the right conditions. I'd further point out that not knowing how life began is no more a reason to deny that evolution happens than not knowing how matter came to be is reason to deny that gravity happens.
@Pikachu ok thanks for your explaination.
@Cutiepi23

You got it. Thanks for keeping an open mind. I know it can be challenging to be a believer where science contradicts faith.

P.S. I would suggest that there's no reason that God and evolution aren't both true.
The Bible was written thousands of years ago by men with no understanding of science. Even if they were describing god's creation, there's no reason that god couldn't have created life using evolution as the mechanism.
@Cutiepi23 I have known people that belive in God but also evolution. They belive he was the creator but that evolution was the mechanism by which he created. The Bible never mentions how he did it after all.
@canusernamebemyusername yes im drawn towards this more as an explaination. I read what the bible says about how the world was created & I am Christian. I have kept an open mind re evolution but God could have used this mechanism to create the world. When the bible says 6 days it doesnt necessarily mean 6 24 hr days as it billions of years old. Theres still the question of the missing link however. I believe in God how it all came about will be answered one day I hope.
@Cutiepi23 I wish you well in your search. May peace follow you:3
@canusernamebemyusername Thankyou you to 🕊
