God says “None is righteous, no not one, no one understands; no one seeks God. [Spirituality & Religion]

All have turned aside, together they have become worthless; no one does good, not even one.” Romans 3:10
So my question is, do you think you are good?

3 For they being ignorant of God’s righteousness, and seeking to establish their own righteousness, have not submitted to the righteousness of God. 4 For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to everyone who believes. Romans 10:3 & 4.

Jesus answered. "No one is good--except God alone. Mark 10:18

God is so good.

@GodSpeed63 🤗 yes He is!
gregloa · 61-69, M
No but if I truly repent daily and confess my sins to him and ask forgiveness then I believe I am washed by his blood shed on the cross. Nevertheless we will be judged by what we have done. I am way behind on my good work for him.

💞🕊️If you are born again and Jesus died for your sins, then he took all your sins on his shoulders! You are then spotless! He tells us that he “blots out all our sins”
There is therefore no condemnation with those who are in Jesus Rom 8:1”

If we are faithful to God and obedient following Jesus wherever he goes he is with us and he has promised to answer all our prayers! John 14:14 The rewards are plenty in this life if we are obedient and have faith.,

And we also can look forward to our redemption of our bodies and everlasting life with God!

That depends on the point of view.

* From a human perspective –

Am I honest? Yes.
Have I killed anyone? No.
Have I committed adultery? No.
Do I obey traffic laws? Yes.
Am I righteous? Yes.

Therefore, from a human point of view, I would be considered to be “good”.

* From God's perspective –

Am I honest? No.
Have I ever committed murder? Yes. (Matt. 5:21)
Have I committed adultery? Yes. (Matt. 5:28)
Have I ever lied? Yes.
Am I righteous? Not hardly!

Therefore, from God’s point of view I am not good.

And according to God, because I’m not good, I have earned death. (Rom. 6:23)

However, since I have put on Christ, I now stand justified before God through Christ. (Gal. 3:27, Rom. 5:21)

@SpiritualMan I’m not convinced all babies go to heaven! It might be but we are sinners by genetics!

@Carazaa But there is a time of innocence where the little one does not know good and evil..

You will no doubt know if the time when the Hebrews first came to the promised land and they sent scouts in to spy out the land.. When they came back 10 of the 12 scouts gave bad / fearsome reports and 2 gave good reports.. So the Hebrew refused to enter the land and where about to kill Moses when God intervened and caused them to wander in the dessert 40 years until the generation that had rebelled had all died in the wilderness.. Now the people complained that their little ones who did not take part in the rebellion where suffering an injustice to die also in the wilderness.. We read Gods response in the Book of Deuteronomy pay very close attention to what He says about the little ones::

Deuteronomy 1: KJV
34 "And the LORD heard the voice of your words, and was wroth, and sware, saying, {35} Surely there shall not one of these men of this evil generation see that good land, which I sware to give unto your fathers, {36} Save Caleb the son of Jephunneh; he shall see it, and to him will I give the land that he hath trodden upon, and to his children, because he hath wholly followed the LORD. {37} Also the LORD was angry with me for your sakes, saying, Thou also shalt not go in thither. {38} But Joshua the son of Nun, which standeth before thee, he shall go in thither: encourage him: for he shall cause Israel to inherit it. {39} Moreover your little ones, which ye said should be a prey, and your children, which in that day had no knowledge between good and evil, they shall go in thither, and unto them will I give it, and they shall possess it."

You will also know when Adam and Eve became unacceptable to live in the garden.. When they fell into sinning.. Yes when they obtained the knowledge of good and evil.. But above we have God declaring that little ones that where living did not have the knowledge of good and evil .. Thus they are acceptable before God..

Matthew 18 KJV
10"[c=#BF0000]Take heed that ye despise not one of these little ones; for I say unto you, That in heaven their angels do always behold the face of my Father which is in heaven[/c]."

@Carazaa The Problem is the different way people measure others to the way God measures others..

Humans measure things relatively.. They assess themselves and others and they have a pass mark and if the other person reaches that pass mark they deem them Good.. Different people have their own varying pass mark measure, often it varies depending on how good that person thinks he or she is.. So people who think they are very good will have a high pass mark for others while people who know they have a lot of faults will have a lower pass mark..

So for instance if a person has low personal standards their pass mark for others will be anything above 50%..But for some with high standards the pass mark will be 90% and they will only call someone else good if they assess them to be a 90% + person..

Gods measure is absolute.. God is perfect so His pass mark is 100%.. Both the examples above the 90% person and the 50% person are bad to Him because they have imperfection in them.. One needs to be forgiven their 10% of faults and the other needs to get their 50% faults forgiven..

Through the Atonement of Jesus both people can be justly forgiven their faults and Deemed Perfect before God on the Day of Judgement and declared good and acceptable to enter into Gods perfect Eternal existence..

But the greatest fault of men is that they are proud and think their human mind based assessment is the one God should have.. Many are under the self measured delusion that they are good people and therefore are right with God.. But the only way to be right with God is to accept His Will and measure on the matter and accept his offer of Redemption to be justly forgiven..
