@kodiac No God is shaking us up and want us to stay put, and stay home! I think he wants us to think about death! Jesus told us all along we would have plagues!
No one thinks about death! Many won’t be alive tomorrow! And this makes people think what happens once I do die! Very few have died but we all have time to wonder about our mortality, make home cooked meals with our kids, slow down, and pray!

@Carazaa God would never kill thousands of people just to "shake us up". Why ever would he want us to "think about death"? Yes Jesus told us that plagues, suffering, war, hunger pains, etc is going to be prevalent in the end of times, he never claims that [i]they're going to cause it[/i]. The bible even claims that it's going to be put to an end by God.
That's why what you're saying is complete insanity, pulled from thin air and 1800's reasoning.

No, God has told us in the Bible that there will be plagues! He is in control of everything, Satan, when and where we die and what happens after we die! Jesus didn’t die for nothing! Heaven awaits those who love him!
Look at my last post featured it is one of many signs of the end of days before he returns! Here are the signs!
1. Increase knowledge
2. Iniquity abounding
3. Falling away from faith
4. Cold hearts
5. False Christs
6. Increase Pestilence and famines
7. Increase of large earthquakes
8. Signs in the heavens, sun and moon
9. Increase mockings
10. Days like the days of Noah
11. Persecution

@Carazaa He rules over everyone but that doesn't mean he controls everything they do. That would mean that God would be evil. You know I see people like you everywhere I go, people who believe in God and doesn't read the bible properly. You go on to believe these crazy ideas that would completely incriminate god of evil-doing, and when I try to explain it to you how wrong you are about God then you claim that you're accepting of the idea of a god possibly doing things we wouldn't allow any other being to do to us, because we'd find it completely evil as human beings.
Then one or two years later you'll have a bad day and you'll think "my idea of god is pretty fucking evil actually, I will stop believing in him all together because putting faith in such an evil being makes no sense!"
And you'd be [b][i]right[/i][/b], because putting faith into a being that pretends to be pure and sin-free while they're actually in control of every single awful thing that happens to us humans, and the evil actions other humans do such as the ones that cut peoples limbs off to have them as living puppets, etc, is fucking insane.
The truth is, that God is nothing like you think he is. He doesn't control what we do because if he did that'd make him guilty of our sinning. It'd also make him guilty of evil doing and lying if he dictated our lives because all of a sudden we have no free will, and we live in an eternal hell.

I don't think that's true. People do think about death time to time. I think about my death which inspires me to do things and enjoy life before my time run out.

There have been plagues before Bible came. It's a natural phenomenon when organisms are not able to contain and immune against a virus. It's nothing supernatural.

These are not signs of Christ's return. These are natural signs. Knowledge had been increasing since dawn of human civilization aka before christ. If you didn't know, ancient human beings didn't have faith, cold hearted to begin with. There have been famines from time humans were just hunter gatherers. How do you think continents came into beings? From platonic movements which caused series of earthquakes even before humans appeared on Earth. If you meant solar and lunar eclipse as signs on sky, that's also natural part of cyclic revolution of moon and earth. Mocking is again part of human nature. Persecution? What?
