No one made me, my species evolved from a common ancestor with the apes.

@PDXNative1986 One of the best answers I've seen on this site is this. 😎💪👍

@xSiFiGamer2016x One of the best answers on this site?? He didn’t even answer the question. 🤭

@PDXNative1986
Oh Brother 😏
PDXNative1986 · 36-40, MVIP
@Carazaa Oh how unreasonable of me, to accept the overwhelming scientific consensus instead of embracing conspiracy theory in order to protect my non existent faith in a book written by primitive goatherders than in my view has no place influencing the modern world. </s>

No. I don't believe in god. At all.
xSiFiGamer2016x · 26-30, M
@SimplyTracie No, but it's true of how we evolved.
SimplyTracie · 26-30, F
@xSiFiGamer2016x The Big Bang theory? You think?
xSiFiGamer2016x · 26-30, M
@SimplyTracie Well, I agree with the big bang, but not the show. 😋
SimplyTracie · 26-30, F
@xSiFiGamer2016x Maybe God did the Big Bang. Right?
xSiFiGamer2016x · 26-30, M
@SimplyTracie I think so, then again I don't know. Probably no proof, but I believe in it.
SimplyTracie · 26-30, F
@xSiFiGamer2016x Is it possible that God made the Big Bang happen as well as the apes?
That way Evolutionist and Creationist are both right.

@SimplyTracie
Maybe God did the Big Bang.
Maybe The Flying Spaghetti Monster triggered the Big Bang (cosmic inflation). No one has managed to prove that It didn't.
SimplyTracie · 26-30, F
@Sharon You can believe what you want. I don’t believe in the Flying Spaghetti Monster.
xSiFiGamer2016x · 26-30, M
@SimplyTracie I guess?
Sharon · F
@SimplyTracie That's OK, I don't believe in your god.
SimplyTracie · 26-30, F
@Sharon Yeah that’s fine too
Sharon · F
@SimplyTracie Thank you. You must be one of those rare christians who respect the right of others to believe differently.
SimplyTracie · 26-30, F
@Sharon I don’t think I’m that rare. I think most Christians respect your right to believe or not believe in God. There are those who criticize but they are in the minority I think.

I think it is no different on the other side. I remember a man telling me how stupid I am for believing in God and even for praying. But as I said, they are in the minority and I pay them no mind.

@SimplyTracie
I think most Christians respect your right to believe
That really depends on what type of christian. There are those who would say any christian who respects the right other to not believe in their god isn't a true christian. Some would go further and claim it's a "true christian's" duty to destroy non-christians by any means possible. Some people merely identify as christians because they think it's expected of them (because they're white British) but don't really believe and don't care what others believe either.

Looking at it purely objectively, I see no difference between a belief in the christian god and a belief in The Flying Spaghetti Monster. If praying to the FSM gives a Pastafarian comfort, I'm happy for them. The same applies to a christian (or member of any other religion) praying to their god.
SimplyTracie · 26-30, F
@Sharon There are those extremist who are in-your-face about their faith but I think they are not the majority.

I do believe that it’s a wonderful thing that God wants everyone to have the freedom to make choices. He won’t take that away from us.

I’m curious, have you ever prayed? Maybe when you were little?

That depends on your definition of "christian". I agree the majority of people identifying as christians aren't the "in your face" type but most of them aren't practicing christians anyway.

I do believe that it’s a wonderful thing that God wants everyone to have the freedom to make choices. He won’t take that away from us.
A Pastafarian could equally well say "I do believe that it’s a wonderful thing that The Flying Spaghetti Monster wants everyone to have the freedom to make choices. He won’t take that away from us." I note you begin with "I do believe..." That's fair enough, you're entitled to your beliefs. I find it annoying when christians state their beliefs as irrefutable facts. That's just sheer arrogance.

I’m curious, have you ever prayed? Maybe when you were little?
Yes, we were all but forced to pray to the christian god at school. It never did any good though. I have prayed to other gods with more success. e.g. The great god Fuck when I've lost something "Oh Fuck, where are my keys?" Shortly afterwards, He delivers them unto me. As a child I also prayed to Santa, telling Him what I wanted for xmas. He usually answered my prayers. :)
SimplyTracie · 26-30, F
@Sharon Prayers seldom does any good. I like have a conversation with God nonetheless.

When you were like 10 or so, did you read a book titled, Are you there God? It’s me, Margaret. ?
I do that.
Carazaa · F
@SimplyTracie God has promised that “ the fervent prayer of a righteous man, availeth much”

I have seen amazing things happen by prayers! But to have results we must have faith, love God, and be obedient to Gods word!
SimplyTracie · 26-30, F
@Carazaa Please tell me more about the amazing things that resulted from praying.

Prayers to the christian god never did; as I said, prayers to other gods often brought the desired result.

When you were like 10 or so, did you read a book titled, Are you there God? It’s me, Margaret. ?
No, why would I?
