No. Of all the possible explanations for existence, the god-model is the least plausible, in my opinion. It simply begs the question; if all of this came to be by and act of a god, where did the god come from?

If you try to tell me that your god always existed, I can reply that the big bang was just one of an infinite series of big bangs.

If you try to tell me something as complex as human life required a creator, then that creator too requires a creator and so on ad infinitum.

If you try to tell me your particular god is the "one true god" then please provide proof that the other +/- 40,000 gods humans have worshipped are not equally true.

If you try to tell me your scripture is inerrant, explain the thousands of factual errors found in them.

If you try to tell me Ill be punished for not believing and rewarded for believing and Im out of line for asking for proof of this supposition, rational people can agree that seems unreasonable, at the very least.

If you try to tell me I'll understand if I just believe, I must pointnout that your vaunted faith is apparently a volitional act that you can turn on or off at will.

If you try to tell me your god can forgive any sinner, you indicate that people like Caligula, Nero, Vlad the Impaler, Ivan the Terrible, Mao, Hitler and Stalin can be enjoying eternal bliss while some of their victims may be burning in hell.

As I said, the god concept is very, very implausible and far too small to actually explain even the little we understand of the real majesty of the universe.
