Yes, it should be a Christian nation. Church attendance should be mandatory. Laws should be drawn from the Bible. Non-Christians may live here but they must pay an "infidel tax".
No.. power corrupts and if religions take hold of political power it will corrupt them and do long term damage to the numbers of people who will be devout followers of that religion..
Better to be an outside force of influence and persuasion where you can keep your independence and not compromise your beliefs while being trapped in the art of ""deal making"" which is so much a part of political life in nations..
