Is Coronavirus good for the Atheist movement? [Spirituality & Religion]

People have lost their jobs, are forced into quarantine and generally, there is a foreboding morbid atmosphere and an ominous sense of futility and impending doom.

Does this mean that more people are probably going to get into Atheism now they've been forced to have a little taste of it?

It's interesting how you speak like it's like an ideological battle 馃

Atheism or the pandemic?

@Miram atheism 馃槀
It's like atheism might be scoring points. Against what? And to what end?

@SW-User it is ideological. Both factions are locked into a zero sum game. But the thing is, even if the Atheists win, they won't get to say "I told you so" . So is Atheism really worth it?

@SW-User

Well I am not saying all but there atheists who treat it like a battle against religion and wish to eradicate it completely, I dated one.

This guy is just trolling though.

@Jm31xxx which team did you pick and why? 馃槀

@Miram I love people like him 馃槀
They're so silly

But also divisive 馃憖
And potentially really closed minded

@SW-User Its not like I picked a side, its more like that side picked me. Its a blessing and a duty.

(not the dirty Atheists if the aboves not clear enough)

@SW-User Like jm31? he is harmless

But yes, if you mean my ex, he was extremely divisive and toxic to non-atheists. One of the many reasons I lost respect for him
