I don't believe religion and science are mutually exclusive. I believe they prove each other.

I’d be fascinated to know what you mean by ‘rightly used’

I think "rightly used" denotes examples of science agreeing with the bible and "wrongly" would be any time it doesn't.😉

Quite incorrect. Please don't put words in my mouth.
I argue that god did not create as described in genesis.
I fully concede the possibility that if god wanted to create life using evolution as the mechanism then he could have done so.

@Pikachu it wouldn’t create life using evolution (you know this), it would create different species using evolution, but would have no control over which species eventuated. If it exercised any degree of control, that wouldn’t be evolution, and it definitely wouldn’t be evolution by natural selection.
It’d be goal-specific achievement by using the most convoluted and messy process imaginable.

The problem I’d there is little of no evidence for the creation of new species by evolution. @newjaninev2

@Speedyman your claim is not only absurd, it also has nothing to do with my comment
@newjaninev2
Sure. I just mean that if god wanted to populate the earth with organisms, he could have done it via evolution.
I'm not sure about not having a hand in it though. You'd be right that it would no longer be evolution as we understand it but if we're talking about an omnipotent being then it could certainly be guiding evolution in subtle ways which we have no way of detecting.
