@Pikachu
Yahweh is not a man that he is capable of lying or being in error.
16 All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for [c]instruction in righteousness, 17 that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work. 2 Timothy 3:16 & 17
19 [i]And so we have the prophetic word confirmed, which you do well to heed as a light that shines in a dark place, until the day dawns and the morning star rises in your hearts; 20 knowing this first, that no prophecy of Scripture is of any private [j]interpretation, 21 for prophecy never came by the will of man, but [k]holy men of God spoke as they were moved by the Holy Spirit. 2 Peter 1:19-21
We can take Yahweh at His Word.
But what is it about the bible that makes you believe that it's god's word?

@GodSpeed63 Do you read and follow every word of the bible?
@GodSpeed63
So is your answer "Because the bible says it is the word of god and god doesn't lie" ?

And what's your answer to why you believe that the bible is the word of god?
Is it because the bible says it is?
Yes or no?

The same as His.

Do you believe the bible is the word of god because god in the bible says that the bible is the word of god?

You've talked with me long enough to know the answer to your own question.
BYW, I'm having a wonderful debate with a skeptic who has been decent and kind throughout our conversation. We've been sharing each other's cases and controversies without the ridicules, the mockings, or the useless arguments. He's smart and he knows science but he doesn't know God or His Word. He presents what he knows about science and asks about my knowledge of God and science. I share my faith with Him and what I know about God and science. We're both being objective with each other and respecting each other in our disagreements.
I wish I could say the same here.
why is it so hard for you to just give a straight answer?

So then your answer IS that you believe the bible is the word of god because the bible says god says it is.
That's great! And i'd be happy to see that between us going forward. All you need to do is
1) Answer a straight question with a straight answer.
2) Don't ignore an argument you find difficult just to repeat your side of things.
3) Respect the fact that i don't share your belief in your god.
Can you promise to do that?
Anything you'd like me to do?

Wrong, I believe because He says His Word is His.
You want to go forward? Knock off the ridiculing, the mocking, and the name calling. When you can do that, we can move forward.

Hence rule number 1, my dude😉
But where does god say it is his word?
Answer: in the bible.
So what makes you think that god saying so in the bible is actually god saying so and not just men saying that?
Done...provided you agree to those three guidelines i set out.
Do you agree to those terms? Do we have a deal?
Yes or no?

is just you trying to justify not giving straightforward answers. There’s no excuse for passive aggressive behavior.
Do you read and follow every word of the bible?

Yup. I already covered that:
"But where does god say it is his word? Answer: in the bible."
So what makes you think that god saying so in the bible is actually god saying so and not just men saying that?
Do you agree to those terms? Do we have a deal?
Yes or no?
*You're already showing me that you won't even agree to the first term: give a straight answer to a straight question. And the second term: don't ignore.
If you genuinely would like to be respectful and civil going forward then please show me the respect of at least acknowledging that i'm trying to make a deal with you.

So what makes you think that god saying so in the bible is actually god saying so and not just men saying that?
Earlier you seemed to express disappointment that we couldn't have respectful, polite exchanges of opinion.
I told you i would be happy to do that and laid out some ground rules as well as asking you what you would want from me.
Now you're ignoring my offer.
So do you genuinely want to have that sort of interaction going forward or were you just trying to shame me?
So?
