When you read the bible, what about it makes you feel that it is divinely inspired? [Spirituality & Religion]

Because i don't get that sense at all when i read it. Just the opposite in fact.

Google "Bible contradictions" There are plenty.

Just ONE Biblical mistake proves that the Bible is not perfect and infallible.

Just ONE accurate Biblical statement proves that the Bible is not complete bullshit...

@walabby "Inspired" does not mean perfect or infallible. It's not as if God had dictated the text.
@walabby

I try to work out contradictions for myself because many of the "contradictions" you find on such lists are not really contradictions at all.

But besides that, the bible may still be divinely inspired while containing errors introduced by the men writing it. Right?

@helenS @Pikachu A lot of Christians believe that that Bible is completely infallible.

One could broaden "inspired" out to say that everything written is inspired by God..

@Pikachu Yeah. Some "contradictions" seem to be a little strained, but others are glaring.
@walabby

I know some do. But many do not and yet they still feel some divinity in the words of the bible.
I wonder why.

@Pikachu 2000 years of brainwashing and self preservation. They killed you if you didn't "believe", only 400 years ago... :/

You have that so-called ‘consistency’ that is the hallmark of tiny minds. You really haven’t a clue have you? @walabby
walabby · 61-69, M
@Speedyman ... and you are displaying the traits of Christians that are losing the argument by being vindictive and nasty. This is a common phenomenon...
Speedyman · 70-79, M
Not at all. You are just completely wrong. You just don’t like your own wrong headed thinking pointed out. All I am doing is applying the same rules to you as you are seeming to apply to others. You obviously have a tiny mind which is too small to embrace a large spectrum which goes back into ancient history, where on earth were you educated? I’m not being vindictive and nasty I’m just telling you the truth. The problem is with people like you you don’t like to read the truth said about yourselves@walabby

@walabby YES!!!
kodiac · 22-25, M
@Speedyman What you just wrote proves you know nothing about what is supposed to be in that bible.
walabby · 61-69, M
@Speedyman Yet again you prove my point..
Speedyman · 70-79, M
Sorry but you prove mine. You go on the Internet to some BS site which is run by informed atheists and gullibly swallow what they say. Then when someone pointed out you get offended@walabby
