When you read the bible, what about it makes you feel that it is divinely inspired? [Spirituality & Religion]

Because i don't get that sense at all when i read it. Just the opposite in fact.

Have you read Tolkien? The Silmarillion? Literally thousands of years of history, culture, language and folklore.
All imaginary.

It's my understanding that the bible is historically accurate in many (though not all) respects but that does little to convince me that there is a divine power influencing it.
