Currently, there is a rather misleading thread which asks...

"For my creationist friends who reject that evolution has occurred: What do you consider to be the best COUNTER-EVIDENCE that evolution has occurred?"

This question is misleading. Most Creationists believe that God created a world with many Kinds of creatures and that these creatures multiplied and grew in diversity. We believe that God used genes as building blocks for creatures in the same way that we might use cement to build very different structures. Similarities between creatures that are of different Kinds are simply the result of having the same building blocks. A dome structure and a skyscraper might both use cement but the similarity means nothing. It means nothing in biology as well.

Similarities between organisms might be used to classify organisms but using similarities to make assumptions about origins is ridiculous!

I am, however, thankful that God gave each Kind of creature the genetic ability to become diverse. So, we have many kinds of birds... many breeds of dogs... etc. Some call this ability evolution... but it does not imply that dogs came from an ancient bacterial ancestor. lolol.

So, does evolution occur? Yes, within each Kind of animal, of course! Does that mean that Darwin's dream might have merit? Of course not. The intricacies of nature and the masterful use of genetic building blocks implies a Creator... an organic architect and engineer.

In the beginning was nothing. And nothing existed for a very long time unti for NO reason whatsoever nothing exploded and became everything. Still later again for NO reason whatsoever bits of everything got together and formed dinosaurs.

@redredred When the 'natural' fails to explain our existence it may be time to look to the 'SUPER NATURAL". BTW the NAME of the Christian God is YAHWEH. It means I AM. We Christians understand that HE is beyond space and time and in fact space and time are part of HIS Creation. You see HE is unique among the human concepts of God since HE alone has Three Parts. Will, Thought and Presence. So His WILL determined to create the universe and everything in it. His THOUGHT designed it all and Creation was completed in His PRESENCE/ESSENCE. The Christian belief certainly makes more sense than the atheist one which my previous post reduced to its bare minimum.

@hippyjoe1955 I’d rather have questions I can’t answer than answers I can’t question. BTW, What new discoveries have been made in “creation science”? I mean since the fourth century when a pagan emperor edited your Bible.

@redredred You are not aware? Too Funny!!!! A friend of mine is a medical researcher looking into cancers. She was telling me that there has been a shift in thinking that has helped them a lot. When she was in university they were taught that things evolved and thus there were things left over from the past that we no longer need. However the more recent thinking that is leading to many more insights is asking how the body was designed and what part of the design this part plays. Thus they don't remove tonsils from kids every time the kid gets a sore throat like they did when I had mine removed. Vestigial organs and all... You really are out of date on your understanding of science.

@redredred Nice deflection. No sale. Looking for design is acknowledging that there is a DESIGNER. Looking at the universe as being the product of intelligence means there is INTELLIGENCE capable of creating the universe.

The Bible is GODS HOLY WORD that will be your judge one day, and is THE most respected book in the world. Everyone who takes it serious as Gods word prospers. So be careful! You are seriously walking a dangerous road if you don't repent to God and respect His word!
