Should I become Catholic? [Spirituality & Religion]

I can't discard God yet, especially after smoking marijuana something in 2012 like my mind went pitch black and it went to this realm well darkness had covered my vision with a tall black shadow man emerging from the darkness rotating something, and in 2015 when I woke up I had two crumble up shirts next to me, they shape-shift into mask with two two horns and long chin and the other shirt shape-shifted to skull. I also saw the constellations at night connecting with beams of light in 2014 like there was images in the night sky, while the last to hallucinations were not induce by drugs rather by psychosis. I have also woken up and I will see writings in on the walls of my room, they look like equations but they only lasted a few secs. Like what if the bible was telling the truth but our egos make us believe that devil doesn't exist, I really don't care if people don't believe I'm more worry about me and actually going to hell.

No. If you you want to avoid Hell it's this simple: “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life." Catholicism is of the Devil and you wouldn't have made it to Heaven practicing Catholicism. Jesus is the answer.

Interesting seeing as Catholicism is the first Christian religion.

@Gumba1000: Oh really? Cause they pray to Mary and Mary can't save no one, as she was a sinner herself. I pray to God the Creator who can forgive and save. That's the difference between the two.

Actually I find your theology already having flaws, and second the Catholic church has been almost been here since Christ walk on earth.
Gumba1000 · M
@PrettyGurl22: The two? Two what? There are many sects of Christianity. As for praying to Mary, it might not do anything, but Catholics pray to God as well, more so than anything else. God being omniscient knows their intentions and good will and will listen regardless.

@PrettyGurl22: Actually Catholics don't worship Mary.
Gumba1000 · M
@PsychoMantis: They do pray to Mary though.

If one only has to believe to be saved, why did Jesus say "he that believes and is baptized shall be saved"? Mark 16: 15-16 also Romans 6:3-4 says that we are in Christ by being baptized into Christ in order to have a new life. Of course we're saved by grace and not works, and that grace is in Christ only. We get into Christ by believing and being baptized as the Bible says.

@PsychoMantis: But the point is Jesus said that He is the ONLY way to Heaven. So if you think praying to Mary and asking the pope (who is btw an unsaved sinner) for forgiveness will not get you into Heaven. They basically commit idolatry by praying to Heaven. We are only to pray to God. People wanna go everywhere else but to the ONE who can actually save you.
PsychoMantis · 31-35, M
@Ihavenoname: Actually we are saved by faith and works, faith without works is dead.
Gumba1000 · M
@PrettyGurl22: Catholics don't pray to heaven. Catholics don't pray to the Pope. Catholics pray for the saints and Jesus' etc intercession into their lives and communication with God.
PsychoMantis · 31-35, M
@PrettyGurl22: Your theology is so flawed, first you are making false accusations which is breaking on of the 10 commandments, and second not only do you condemn the pope but you yourself makes your self as a judge, to you it might seem like people are praying to mary. but, god searches the mind and the heart, so only god knows what really is going inside someone head.
PrettyGurl24 · 26-30, F
@Gumba1000: Okay but do they believe that Jesus was God incarnate, He died on the cross for our sins, and rose 3 days later? Do they believe He is the Son of God?
Gumba1000 · M
@PrettyGurl22: They believe that Jesus was part of the Holy Trinity therefore a part of God. Why are you asking what they believe about Jesus? All Christians believe the same about Jesus' death and resurection. That is what makes us 'Christians'.
PrettyGurl24 · 26-30, F
@PsychoMantis: I'm not going to go back and forth with you. God has made it clear. Jesus! Jesus! Is the answer. Yet for some reason you're still avoiding Him. Jesus said no one can get to the Father unless they go through Him. I'm going with God's Word. Become a Christian if you want Salvation and a relationship with Jesus.
PsychoMantis · 31-35, M
@PrettyGurl22: You see now your saying jesus was god incarnated, Jesus is the son of god and sits to the right of God when he judges us and Satan if going to be the accuser. Second I can't say Jesus rose from the dead, because the protestant denominations I have gone they didn't cure from my mental illness, so I find there teachings to be false, and if there teachings are flaws then Jesus wasn't raise from the dead so he can't be savior, now I'm cling to catholic teachings because of other issues.
Gumba1000 · M
@PsychoMantis: Eh? Protestants believe in the resurection too don't they?
PrettyGurl24 · 26-30, F
@PsychoMantis: Okay but why not become a Christian instead? You'll also have eternal life. If you can think about being Catholic, then you can consider becoming a Christian???
PsychoMantis · 31-35, M
@Gumba1000: yea, but most of there theology is flawed not only that the Holy bible was composed by the Catholic Church, then the protestants around 500 or 600 years ago took out seven books because it contradicted there theology.
Gumba1000 · M
@PsychoMantis: Yes I know. I just didn't understand you previous post sorry.
PsychoMantis · 31-35, M
@PrettyGurl22: I'm not going to become Christian first of because those sects have only been around for around 500 years, While the Catholic Church has been around 2,000 years. Plus I find a lot of Protestant theology flawed.
Gumba1000 · M
@PrettyGurl22: Therr is no such thing as just 'Christian' now. That is a term used in the singular centuries ago. Chistianity is a collection of faith believing in Jesus. Catholic literally meaning "old ways" and Protestant, Anglicanism, Evangilism, Methodists, Mormans, Orthadox, Russian Orthadox, Greek Orthadox.
PrettyGurl24 · 26-30, F
@PsychoMantis: like the Catholic doctrines isn't flawed?? I just told you how to avoid Hell yet you're using any excuse not to come to Jesus. Just admit that you've rejected Him and leave it at that. Catholicism is not the answer. You'll find that out when your time here is up.
Gumba1000 · M
@PrettyGurl22: You don't seem to have a good grasm of Catholicism and therefore your argument for being wrong is too weak to be bothering with. God will decide. Not you.
PrettyGurl24 · 26-30, F
@Gumba1000: go to gotquestions.org it has many biblical views on Catholicism and questions you are probably want to know. It can explain a lot better than I can.
Gumba1000 · M
@PrettyGurl22: Have you read the Catholic bible?
