Wouldn't it be cool if the gods of our world were just advanced aliens? [Spirituality & Religion]
This is a thought that occurs when for example i read in the bible that god wants a bunch of loot or other sacrifices. Makes me think of an alien or maybe a human from the future!

Not that aliens wouldn't be cool but I've researched a ton on parasites and their role in evolution would actually surprise people. Up to 7.7 million different species of animals and parasites make up more than half.
For this reason, I've often wondered if God was first a parasite and the irony of life is that we die only to find out that God is a massive bloodsucker eating the life from you day in and day out in some weird symbiotic relationship.
Like what if the reason god wants our prayers and worship is because he's some sort of psychic vampire who feeds off the psychic energy of our collective worship? And of course he doesn't want us to worship other gods because that would diminish his food supply.
@SatanBurger I have thought this too. It would explain why people never come back from the other side. They have been eaten! Also according to meme theory thoughts like fundamentalism do act like parasites in the brain. They go through evolution. They can spread. They hijack their hosts thinking. They have self preservation aspects. Like the movie inception said. You most insidious virus is a thought.
@canusernamebemyusername I've heard of meme theory! And I wouldn't doubt if that was true, based on what I know about how propaganda spreads, it's in a similar way and would explain a lot.
