@Emosaur God is the umbrella term sweetheart. If I was to call amun ra Zeus...that is what would be incorrect but who does that? They are both GODS....yes GODS but they are not the same God but they are GODS....get it?

@MushroomFaerie "God" generally refers to the unique deity of the Abrahamic religions, although it could be understood to refer to any unique deity. Not capitalizing it ("god") refers to any deity in general; i.e. the Greek gods, the Norse gods, etc. Zeus is a god, but he's not God.
This is just a convention where we capitalize proper names that refer to unique individuals. In a language like Hebrew or Arabic that doesn't have capital letters, you'd need context to differentiate.

@Emosaur i don't know.. I do know you can follow Jesus in like a Hindu way without having to be a bible thumper though the bible is too a record of Jesus' word so it might merit some goodness. like reading any book, you have to discern for yourself whether what it says resonates with your own personal truth or not

@Emosaur well, you have a point but personal truth to me isnt so broad a subject like that lol. like, take for example reincarnation. i believe in reincarnation. it is a personal truth in the sense that not everyone agrees it's a possibility. some people say yes, some people say no. what's true for me may not be true for another person, so i guess that's one example of personal truth. though I may not have scientific proof of the matter, I do have personal evidence that leads me to believe it's true, therefore I have adopted it as my personal truth. (though part of my mind acknowledges that it may be illusion of some kind, there's that possibility too, but still, I know how I feel about it and I act accordingly) thinking the world was the shape of a donut would be a personal belief - true or false i can't say. i actually think i saw somewhere that that might even be true - that the universe is in the shape of a donut lol. belief and truth are sort of similar, but truth has some concrete basis to it where belief can be false and unfounded, though I suppose personal truth can be found to be false i suppose too, but can you get what I'm saying? to me personal truth is something you adopt with reason. if your truth doesnt abide by the laws of reason then it is probably false. one could say where is the reasoning in the existence of God? to that I would say, perhaps some things are just truly beyond the limits of our understanding and sometimes we have to rely on inner vision or feelings to determine our personal truth. especially in the realm of intangible matters. there is always that question of if what we consider personal truth is truly true or not but these things can determine how we act or the decisions we make... so it's important and valid no matter if it's empirically true or not.

@Emosaur look kiddo, I am assuming you have a personal belief that God doesn't exist. this could be considered a personal truth if you had concrete reasons to consider it so but you don't. you have no proof that God doesn't exist. and millions of people would disagree. I understand what it is to be your age and have opinions, but they are rather naive to be honest. instead of shouting them from the rooftops, perhaps it would be wise instead to listen to others keeping an open mind not agreeing or disagreeing with them, but instead take an attitude of learning. you hopefully have got a lot of years ahead of you and a lot of experiences to experience. perhaps you will get your personal evidence of God, or even personal evidence that God doesn't exist , but the truth is you have none now, so maybe it's better to keep your opinions to yourself. Do tell if I am wrong about this. not trying to come off like a bitch but you are pushing me to it with your "cute" response. personal truth is something I'm talking about, i have no reference to it otehr than from my perspective, si I suppose it is subjective, but personal belief and personal truth are similar in the sense that they are what we believe whether it's truly true or not. and belief is a powerful thing. there is such a thing as personal evidence. to say there isn't is to say you don't have your own competent mind and can only rely on other's opinions when your experiences may not be shared by others. others having the same or similar non-scientific personal evidences can reinforce your belief, butit all boils down to your personal truth. i hope this isn't too complex for you. anyway. if you need any clarification, do feel free to say so, as well as agree or disagree ;)

@Emosaur where are you getting your presuppositions that God is any of these things? and even if he is omniscient and knows the outcome of our tests, that wouldn't matter in that how would we experience them if that's what would matter more than the outcome. are we being tested for his knowledge or ours?
