Very, very interesting!!! However...you have the burden of proof! Black and white facts to back up whatever you may believe!!! Lol! Whether you are a believer or not...you must back it up with proof! That’s why I take the hardest road and say,” you know, I just don’t know for sure absolutely!” Also...books that are written by man (even if they were influenced by a higher power and the like do not count!)

@Shewolfiie69 Burden of proof. Where is yours that God exists?

@MrBrownstone With all due respect Mr Brownstone...it’s like trying to explain love! Yes! It exists but... Bottom line I deplore religion but love God! God to me is positive loving light energy.
@Emosaur sorry! It does not! Just because you want something to be...it doesn’t make it so! Ok. I’d like to believe that there’s a loving passionate Being of some kind !!! I just don’t know 100%!!!!!

@Shewolfiie69 Bottom line I deplore religion but love God! Here's some really good news for you then. God hates religion too.

@Emosaur Religion is by definition, man trying to find God. True Biblical Christianity, as opposed to Churchianity, is God reaching out to man, and is not a religion, but a relationship.

@Emosaur Churchianity is a religion.

@Emosaur Actually, you're wrong. Charles Spurgeon, one of the greatest evangelists, coined the term way back, as a means to distinguish between true Biblical Christianity and what most people call "Christianity" today.

@Emosaur https://archive.spurgeon.org/s_and_t/c_v_c.php Here is Spurgeon's entire sermon on the difference between Christianity and Churchianity. Read and enjoy.

@Emosaur Though we often agree, on this one i would differ:
Your god and his religions aren't separable.
A person can be spiritual and believe in a higher power without espousing any of the standard religions. Christianity by definition is a religion but not all who believe in a higher power are Christians.

@Emosaur Fair enough, you might well be right but what i had an issue with is you saying they weren't "separable", perhaps i misunderstood then?

@Emosaur Ok, understand now, so your beef is with them actually calling him/her/it God? I was thinking in terms of like the Indigenous who believe in a higher power than them but it isn't a religion, or Christian and that's what I meant.

@Shewolfiie69 Why do books written by mere man count and God inspired ones do not
Silverwings · 61-69, F
@spjennifer He and all like him are just basically inserting their unbelief trying to muddy the waters. Belief came first, and it will have the last say.

Atheisim is simply a matter of not believing in a god for which there is no real evidence. Christians are atheist in respect of all gods except one. Atheists just apply the same standards of proof to all gods equally.
