My parents are atheists [Spirituality & Religion]

And I hate it. I have heard so many stories of religion helping people and turning lives around (like Malcolm X). I've spoken to many religious people, and I notice that they're much more friendly, smiling, and OPTIMISTIC than secular people.

I feel like I'm too old to be secular anymore. I feel like atheism is a child's fairy tale.

Many people find many ways to cope through life albeit it positive or negative. I find many people with their own spiritual path and beliefs to be very happy and collected. This also goes for atheists in a sense.

What I believe ruins either or is organization via the masses.

I once was a Christian and one of the reasons I left the church was church itself. Everybody is different and you can get a verse from the Bible and ask 20 different people what they think it means and mast of the answers will be different from one another.

Same goes for atheists. The self righteous ones are much like a fundamentalist evangelical or baptist. Where they don’t really know the history or science behind it but will agree to the person in the crowd that speaks the loudest and consider them the authority figure and will just repeat what they said but most likely in a different word due to lack of memorization or to fill their own narrative.

This is why you should explore these things by yourself or a loved one and not a massive congregation because you’re not exploring what’s being gay taught but just repeating what you are told.

It is important to find a Biblical church!@TakingBackMidgard

Yes I agree but reading the entire Bible is important before dismissing it!

Finding a biblical church doesn’t mean much as the context in the Bible will be interpreted differently from person to person. I explained my first reason for leaving Christianity was the church and it’s congregation. My second is the Bible itself @Carazaa

Yeah the Bible isn't popular. God tells us we are sinners and that's not popular! Its much better reading books that lie to you!

@Carazaa Christian mythology and the Christian god are the Linux of beliefs

@TakingBackMidgard a myth to self worshipers maybe.

@Carazaa Christianity is a myth to those who don’t follow it and or believe it just like I’m sure you would find the Roman and Greek pantheon to be myths.

@Reverend self worshippers?
