My parents are atheists [Spirituality & Religion]

And I hate it. I have heard so many stories of religion helping people and turning lives around (like Malcolm X). I've spoken to many religious people, and I notice that they're much more friendly, smiling, and OPTIMISTIC than secular people.

I feel like I'm too old to be secular anymore. I feel like atheism is a child's fairy tale.

Those outdated stories poorly represent what fairy tales are today, just like Old Testament religious teachings poorly represent what churches preach today.

@Wordlover oh I figured that out. What was unclear was the purpose of the sarcasm. Are you agreeing that fairy tales often make people feel better? Or are you trying to draw a line of difference between fairy tales and religion? It's not very clear.
