Have you ever considered this? [Spirituality & Religion]

To those who repeatedly try to convince me that the Sabbath of the fourth commandment no longer applies to those of us who reside in New Testament times, have you ever considered this? The Sabbath was established at the end of Creation week, before the entrance of sin, was made for all mankind, not just the Jews, and is repeatedly called in the Bible the Sabbath of the Lord thy God, not the Sabbath of the Jews. Also, Adam and Eve, our first parents, spent their entire first full day resting and communing with God on His Holy Sabbath Day.

I believe keeping the Sabbath Holy is important and I’m sure a lot of people do but what that’s means is anyone’s guess. Does the Bible give some idea what we should not do on the Sabbath?

I personally think wearing your best on Sundays is overdoing it a bit. I don’t think anyone does that.

I think if possible, wearing something clean and nice would please God.
@SimplyTracie my grandpa who was poor anyway wore his work clothes to church once and got made fun of for it. He never went to church again.
Speaking of there is a naked church somewhere I remember. Virginia I think.

@canusernamebemyusername Folks go to church naked in Virginia? I think that’s ridiculous but what do I know. People say that I’m ridiculous for thinking Trump is ridiculous. 🤷‍♀️

We have entered God’s rest as Christians.

@Speedyman "Do we then make void the law through faith? God Forbid! yea, we establish the law."Romans 3:31
@Speedyman Another important point is that after the judgement and the remaking of Heaven and Earth,The Sabbath is STILL kept ( not reinstituted).

The sabbath will be eternal and non-ending@Anonymartyr
