What evidence would you point to showing that evolution actually DID NOT happen?

Just food for thought...........but in actual practice evolution does not mean it makes a species smarter or more superior than other life forms. For instance the path humanoids have traveled since earliest man came on the scene...from not even knowing what fire is to technology of today. Evolution more means a species has "evolved" over time to better survive and reproduce in a given environment, but that is just as due to natural selection as it is evolution in the sense that is argued today.

Absolutely correct. All too often i see creationists criticizing evolution theory in terms of expecting life to be a smooth progression from bad to good to better to best rather than simply maladaptive to adaptive.
