Was "go forth and multiply" bad advice? Or at very least, outdated? [Spirituality & Religion]

If the catholic church, who is actually down with science btw, actually gives a good god damn about the planet, they would support birth control.

The command to go forth and multiply was given when the Earth was a lot less full than it is now. When reading the bible we always have to take into context the circumstances in which the command was given rather than unintelligently reading it and applying it to a situation where in it does not any longer apply

What we mean by that is go forth and multiply in disciples. I’m absolutely no way are we saying that. It’s a common misunderstanding that people have about the Catholic Church.
