@SimplyTracie it's considered God's house, so yes and no. But even there, people dont shout their personal prayer out. They kneel, take a few minutes in silence and then continue.

Sure, the prayer is universal in there. Everyone follows the same prayer as the priest. It's about the community.

But the prayer, is private.

Then again, I'm an elapsed catholic.

@SW-User I’m almost positive that God doesn’t mind if we pray with others. We say a prayer before we eat and someone says it out loud.

@gregloa I don't think you need to explain yourself. I think you did the right thing. He didn't need to start it. It could have been a civil conversation. Better to avoid conflict, is right. If they keep on and on, nothing is solved. If they're going to act like a jerk and continue it, they deserve to be blocked. That was your call, not anyone else's to judge. When they continue like that, there's no saving the conversation. I'm glad you stayed strong and faithful to your convictions. It's time somebody did. No need to apologise when you've done nothing wrong. I think they got the wrong guy here. He needs to apologize to you!
