Please say a prayer for Princess Beatrice of York.... [Spirituality & Religion]

Even though what Prince Andrew did was really bad and he deserves to be punished, please remember that his daughter gets married next year and all the negative media attention might spoil the wedding.

Princess Beatrice is really nice and cant help who her father is so please dont judge her badly because of her father.

Also, say a prayer for the queen too, she is an old lady and doesn't deserve the stress at this age in her life.

@IndigoSavage Have you met the Princess?

As a matter of principle, I won't expend any of my thoughts on these people. I cannot fathom a reason to grant them more than trivial respect, as they appear to be completely unremarkable.

@Pseudonym they are the royal family and they do a hard job
Pseudonym · 26-30, M
@IndigoSavage The term 'royal' is objectively meaningless, but I agree they are a family. In modern society they have no obligation to continue their historical duties (I'd prefer 'privileges'), but they do so because they choose to. Logically, the benefits of being seen as 'royal' must outweigh the negatives, or they would have long since relinquished their titles. Therefore, I cannot follow the argument that they somehow deserve sympathy or respect for their 'hard work', which is only performed due to a birthright for which they're excessively remunerated. It is senseless.

If hypothetically the entire family abdicated from their diplomatic duties tomorrow, they would swiftly be replaced by democratically elected representatives, rather than by nepotic precedent; and at far less cost to the average citizen.
They have my prayers!

@IndigoSavage we dont know that
@IndigoSavage I sure hope it doesn't spoil her wedding day. She doesn't deserve that. I'm sure it's hard on the whole family.

With that title I thought she was dying

She’ll be fine I hope. Nobody should blame her for her father’s actions
Spokeskitties75 · 46-50, M
Yeah, it’s sad for her... but the marriage is about the love between her and her fiancée... not her piece of shit dad.
MrsPeterEvans · 31-35, F
I don't think the taxpayer should pay for her wedding like her sister's.

Will he get punished ?
What did Andrew do?
Hopefully her daddy is in prison for child abuse and her uncle Charlie can walk her down the aisle.
