Why do you think god used to appear regularly and make his presence known but now remains hidden from most of humanity? [Spirituality & Religion]

Who says He's hidden? God is Spirit and lives outside of time and space. But, He still makes His presence known to those who seek Him and call on His name.

Me...i do. Used to be when he would appear as a pillar of fire or send a plague of poisonous snakes to convince the isrealites he was there.
By comparison, he seems awfully hidden these days🤷🏻
He still makes His presence known to those who seek Him and call on His name.

So far he hasn't with me.
All i can say on that subject.

@Pikachu
Me...i do.
Well, He's not hidden. You just haven't looked for His is all.
So far he hasn't with me.
He knows your heart better than you do. If you keep messing around like you've been doing, you're going to miss out on Him. If you want serious in seeking Him, then, and only then, will you experience His presence. You decide on what you want to do.

I don't know how i can be more serious about it.
I'm asking questions which i feel are genuinely important.

@Pikachu
I don't know how i can be more serious about it.
Just pray to Him. You know how to do that. Open your heart to Him and receive Him. I'll even pray with you if you like. Know this: that Jesus loves you and so do I, my friend.
@GodSpeed63
You know how to do that.
I do. And i have.
Nothing yet.

No one can see the kingdom of heaven lest he be born again! Pikachu you have to surrender yourself completely upon Jehovahs alter I did so while listening to the Christian radio and was sealed with the Holy Spirit as a Christian DJ prophecied to me from then on I could call upon the name of Jesus and hear him speak through His people @Pikachu

@GodSpeed63 You conveniently skipped this part:
Used to be when he would appear as a pillar of fire or send a plague of poisonous snakes to convince the Israelites he was there.
So why doesn't he anymore?

@Pikachu
I do. And i have.Nothing yet.
Same here. I tried that when I was younger but it was futile. That was one of the things that went to make me seriously doubt its existence. I found requests to Santa Claus much more productive.
@saintsong

I have attempted such a thing before at points in my life.
No luck.
@Sharon

Yeah it was actually a bit disappointing. Like when you try a ouija board out and nothing happens
TheOrionbeltseeker · 36-40, M
@SatanBurger Have you heard of raining fish?
Sharon · F
@TheOrionbeltseeker
Have you heard of raining fish?
I've heard of raining frogs. There was a perfectly rational scientific explanation for it.
TheOrionbeltseeker · 36-40, M
@Sharon Alright. Very good.
TheOrionbeltseeker · 36-40, M
@Sharon Science is very incomplete and it gives true but incomplete explanations.

I do say True

@TheOrionbeltseeker
Science is very incomplete and it gives true but incomplete explanations.
No reputable scientist would say otherwise. Science seeks explanations.

@Sharon
No reputable scientist would say otherwise. Science seeks explanations.
It also point to God being that He's its Author.
@GodSpeed63
God being that He's its Author.

Prove it.

But actually prove it. not just declare with no substantiation that everything is proof.
Can you do that or can you not?
JBird · F
@GodSpeed63 why didn't he appear for dying people in war and poverty stricken countries?
TheOrionbeltseeker · 36-40, M
@Sharon Science explains how and not why.

How the rain of frog or rain of fish happened? You ask science and it answers.

You ask why it rained frogs or fish, science still has answer but to why now and not before or not everyday, science imbalances it's pillars and even if somehow it explains why now and why not everyday then also there are further questions [[[[[[[[[[why]]]]]]]]]] ©
GodSpeed63 · 61-69, M
@Pikachu
Prove it.
He already has proven it.

20 For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead, so that they are without excuse, 21 because, although they knew God, they did not glorify Him as God, nor were thankful, but became futile in their thoughts, and their foolish hearts were darkened. 22 Professing to be wise, they became fools, 23 and changed the glory of the incorruptible God into an image made like corruptible man—and birds and four-footed animals and creeping things.
Romans 1:20-23
@GodSpeed63

Nope. Insufficient.

The bible can only be considered proof of god if one first accepts that god is behind it.
So before you prove that god is the author of science, prove that god is the author of the bible.

Can you do that or can you not?
GodSpeed63 · 61-69, M
@TheOrionbeltseeker
Science explains how and not why.
So very true.

He's done that also.

16 For we did not follow cunningly devised fables when we made known to you the power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, but were eyewitnesses of His majesty. 17 For He received from God the Father honor and glory when such a voice came to Him from the Excellent Glory: “This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.” 18 And we heard this voice which came from heaven when we were with Him on the holy mountain. 19 And so we have the prophetic word confirmed, which you do well to heed as a light that shines in a dark place, until the day dawns and the morning star rises in your hearts; 20 knowing this first, that no prophecy of Scripture is of any private [j]interpretation, 21 for prophecy never came by the will of man, but [k]holy men of God spoke as they were moved by the Holy Spirit.

2 Peter 1:16-21

16 All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for [c]instruction in righteousness, 17 that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.

2 Timothy 3:16 & 17

Science is very incomplete and it gives true but incomplete explanations.
If science is incomplete and religions have all answers, why do you have to go to hospital for curing diseases, instead of praying to God? Why do churches can't stop war and poverty if they have all the power of God? If religion could solve all the problems, why are religious people still suffering?

Science is not man made to be complete. It's our knowledge about it that's incomplete. If you don't know what's science, you better keep quite?
@GodSpeed63
He's done that also.
Nope.
Insufficient.

You just tried to prove that the bible is the word of god by quoting the bible which, again can only be considered proof if one first accepts that god is (directly or indirectly) the author of the bible.
You are committing a logical fallacy known as begging the question.

Can you prove that or can you not?
