I will say something like. I am an atheist and I like to be in this reality where the facts stand for themselves. Evolution is a sure thing because we have fossils from millions of years ago, And obviously the Bible is wrong on the 7 day creation. Halleluiahs are so lame because they are wishful thinking when you don't have any hope at all, so you come up with a pie in the sky fantasy.
And more You Christians have really destroyed the world. If it weren't for you, there would not have been any wars or mass killings, and you use your religion to get elected. You hate homosexuals when they aren't hurting anyone, you hate atheists, and use satan to scare us. And god too. I believe in science because it is something that has been proven, you idiot!

No it's not more moral to let people do whatever they want. There are rules by which we live so that we can live together. To transgress these moral rules results in disharmony.
Even an atheist can recognize that there are certain moral guidelines which we value as humans whether they believe those rules come from god or not.
