Patti Smith said "Jesus died for somebodys sins but not mine, my sins belong to me". I tend to agree

@Pikachu Empathy for the world and those hurting comes from God, romantic fantasies are not. Clear difference! Of course I am not saying that all people with empathy are Christians, but all love stems from God whether people know it or not. And I don't want you to put me in with those women who marry criminals, I go visit my clients, whether they are in prison, the hospital, or in court as support as my clients, no other relationship, and for no other reason.

Martha had boldly asked Jesus if He could resurrect her brother, Lazarus. Well, Jesus was a great believer in women and ,without a doubt, Martha was very well thought of by Jesus. In fact, Jesus' attitude towards women remains the earliest in recognizing their worth! A phenomenal being and, on the strength of that alone, it would be of great value to anyone to listen to the words He spoke.

@EugenieLaBorgia But what he was also proving is that only he can forgive sin, no other!

The word became flesh and dwelt among us John 1:14
In the beginning was the word, the word was with God, and the word was God! John 1
All things were made by Him and without him was not anything made that was made. John 1:3
"The light shines in darkness, and the darkness comprehended it not" John 1:5

Probably 1, possibly 2.
Carazaa · F
@NortiusMaximus that's not the Hell in question🤗
NortiusMaximus · M
@Carazaa At least those two are real places. I believe there's another in California and possibly New York state. Could one of those be the one referred to? @TheOrionbeltseeker seems to have left so I can't ask him.
Carazaa · F
@NortiusMaximus You have a sense of humour!🙂

None of the above. He was a religious prophet.

@Carazaa Him and his followers believed what they believed.
Carazaa · F
@SW-User That's just it they did NOT believe at all until they saw him raised from the dead. They were sceptics! Then they Got it. It takes some longer than others.

@Carazaa It's a cool story for sure.

The real story is different.
Did he (Jesus) not forgive Mary Magdeline?
Carazaa · F
@soar2newhighs YEs He did. But how do we know that? It is easy to say I forgive you, than healing the lame. Only God can heal the lame completely. Jesus did. So he can also forgive all our sins.
butterflymind1 · F
in what context did he say it?
Carazaa · F
@butterflymind1 To prove he is God!

He was God's son, as written in the Bible. Can't believe how you forgot putting that in the list.

@MartinTheFirst Which is easier: to say, ‘Your sins are forgiven,’ or to say, ‘Get up and walk’? 24 But I want you to know that the Son of Man has authority on earth to forgive sins.” So he said to the paralyzed man, “I tell you, get up, take your mat and go home.” 25 Immediately he stood up in front of them, took what he had been lying on and went home praising God. 26 Everyone was amazed and gave praise to God. They were filled with awe and said, “We have seen remarkable things today.” Luke 5:23 Jesus was proving that he could forgive sins which is our biggest need, not to walk!

@Carazaa
No he did that to prove that he has the ability to forgive sin, through showing that something that seems more difficult to humans is easy for him to do. Not that only he can do it:
And He did the miracles to prove only He can forgive sin.

@MartinTheFirst Jesus is God! It is He who will judge the world when he comes again. The first time he came as a lamb the second he will come as a lion. God himself stepped down to save the world. And he is coming again to judge the living and the dead!
