You can't reasonably deny it, but "reasonably" is the keyword here. It's not just a lack of knowledge regarding the science; it's a misunderstanding altogether of the science, people teaching kids their own version of "science," and religious leaders forcing others to choose this or God.
Well said. I think for many people it's a misunderstanding of the science. I've found in my conversations that most people who deny evolution also have very poor grasp on what it actually means. But as you say, ignorance has never stopped us from telling other people what we know lol.
