I don't know why religious folks reject the theory of evolution. [Spirituality & Religion]

Seems to me that someone could certainly believe that a god created life through evolution. Is the only answer that they believe the bible is literally true?

Fear. It directly threatens their life-long established belief system. I know, I used to be after studying Abrahamic scripture for decades. But Jonah would have died of suffocation within minutes inside a whale, much less for three days. No whore will rise out of the sea riding a beast with seven heads and ten horns drunk on blood.
These are symbolic, not literal.

It certainly seems like it would be a lot easier to accept the bible if you don't have to believe it's literally true.

Just in the same way the atheist is afraid of the miraculous . The problem is the secular rest is narrowminded and has no concept of anything outside of the scientific laws . The problem is with you guys is that you are too small in your mind and thinking. You need to expand your thinking. Of course Christians do not believe that the book of Revelation is to be taken literally as it is apocalyptic writing. It appears that people like you do but you need to actually get down to some proper study@DudeistPriest

@Speedyman The more secular a country gets, the more rights we have. In my opinion, we think very open minded about stuff for that reason.
