I don't know why religious folks reject the theory of evolution. [Spirituality & Religion]
Seems to me that someone could certainly believe that a god created life through evolution. Is the only answer that they believe the bible is literally true?

Well not really. It makes a literal interpretation of the bible impossible, yes. But if a god wanted to create life using evolution as its tool then it certainly could.
