I don't know why religious folks reject the theory of evolution. [Spirituality & Religion]

Seems to me that someone could certainly believe that a god created life through evolution. Is the only answer that they believe the bible is literally true?

It never was even about was evolution being true. In the past more agrarian world every farmer knew that things evolved. The debate was over what did the selecting. On the farm the farmer selected for the traits he or she wanted. So naturally they thought that in nature without human intervention God must do the selecting. All Darwin did was show that God didn't need to intervene and that nature can self select. But in the intervening century the religious have completely forgot what the argument was originally even about and reject it all. There goes dairy cattle, and hybrid plants as to their logic they can't exist.

we know that natural selection was around and believed in a long time before Darwin came along. We believe in it because it’s true. What is far more questionable is the transmigration of species of which there is little evidence and also the fact that cells cannot create themselves . The fact that for a protein to create itself would take longer than the age of the Earth is certainly a take against the Darwinian form of evolution whether you believe the Bible or not. If you believe computer programs can write themselves then you might believe in the fact the DNA could write itself into the highly complicated form is found in cells@canusernamebemyusername
