Can we stop saying that atheists are afraid to believe in god? [Spirituality & Religion]

Who the heck wouldn't want to believe that death is not the end and that we'll be reunited with our loved ones?

It seems to me that in fact fear is one of the strongest motivators TO believe in a god which soothes the terrors of death, oblivion and separation.

Sorry folks, this may sting a bit.. lol! God can neither be proven NOR disproven. It is, by design, a Faith based system. Nowhere in the Bible does it say, solve this equation to find God! It’s says something like believe in him.

The magnitude or strength or passion of either sides belief in their OPINION does not make it fact.

You guys are basically arguing who’s opinions are “correct”. It’s like arguing favorite colors!

@FunReader55 Exactly. Any proof of God's existence would reduce him to a mere human construct, and since proving a negative is impossible, any potential proof of his nonexistence would simply push him further out into the gap of any remaining unexplainable phenomena.
