No. If you can't take the truth about yourself, that is not our fault.

You're right. These skeptics are responsible for their own actions. BTW, there are no such people that are atheists. As long as they're alive they will believe in some type of god or idol and have faith.

Wrong.
We keep going over this and you keep admitting that you have to warp the definition of a god in order to maintain this absurd claim.
Do atheists believe whatever "idol" has will or consciousness?
Do they pray to it for guidance or salvation?
Do they think it created them or watches over them?
NOPE. So explain for the class what qualities of a god you think atheists are attributing to these idols...
When you fail to answer this question, you admit again that you are making a fallacious argument.
Go on...

We can both just be arrogant and assign motivations to the other without being willing to hear the other side out, but let's actually talk about this for a minute.
Trying thinking about and answering the question i posed here. Why wouldn't a mortal human want to believe that death is not the end and that we could see our loved ones again?
Is it more likely that we'd rather refuse to believe in that because we'd have to try to be good than it is that we're just not convinced by the evidence?
Give reasons for your answers.

@Pikachu I think what God considers a "God" is what we put first in our life and what we will be willing to sacrifice for. God requires 1st place. He is the bride groom the church is his bride, the lambs bride. We are married to Christ and like any marriage, God is jealous and want first place. Christians really try to put God first. He is our God, not our families, or money, or our lusts for anything else. So that's why we believe according to Gods standards all people have a "god" that they put their trust in. Even if they don't pray to it.
@Carazaa
But that's the thing. There is no recognition of an actual god by atheists which you acknowledge by putting god in quotation marks.
An atheist is a person who does not believe that a god or gods exist. That's what that word means and since atheists don't assign any qualities of godhood, most crucially consciousness to these other important things,the only way godspeed can carry on his argument is by distorting the meaning of both god and atheist.
It's silly. I don't know why he keeps repeating it.

She right. Anything people put first in their hearts other than the Living God, Yahweh, He considers to be an idol or a 'dummy god.' Isaiah 45:5 I am the Lord, and there is no other; there is no God besides Me.

Perfect.
So even that acknowledges that it's not a god.
So if your god says it's not a god and an atheist doesn't even think of it as a god nor associate any deistic characteristics with said idol, you have no belief in a god.
You have an atheist.

Thank you for helping prove my point👍

Well if you believe in god and jesus then I guess you do. @GodSpeed63

@Pikachu Just because there is no God but God Jehovah who hears us doesn't mean that people don't have gods that can't hear like money, fame, power, self etc. and they are unaware of the power those things have on them until they lose those things. Then they realize that they were just like "gods" to them. And then they feel like they have nothing. See Christians have been there, and we are just a little farther on that road than atheists I think. A little more aware about our weaknesses, and our needs, and put our trust in something more substantial like the living God who can actually help us, not just emotionally but in every way. And only God lasts. Everything we see will pass away.
@GodSpeed63
I know i'm right. And since you acknowledge that i trust you won't continue to repeat this nonsense about there being no living atheists.
If you wish to so then you will fully address my last post instead of ignoring the content to repeat that you believe in your god.

I want you to explain how those things can said to be a god in the mind of an atheist.
Describe the qualities of godhood possessed by or assigned to those things by atheists.
If you can't then you recognize that these people don't believe in a god and are therefore atheists.
Saying that something is important or even imperative to a person does not make it a god and does not entail a belief in a deity.
If one lacks a belief in a deity then they are an atheist.

@Pikachu I explained before that God looks at the heart. He told the Jewish people that they prayed to figures and stones that could not hear. You might not pray to anything, but if you don't put God first we will put something else there even if you don't pray to it and value it and it becomes first place. In Gods eyes that is worship! Loving something more than God is worship. Not praying to it not calling it anything just loving it is sinful if we love it more than God.
@Carazaa
Ok, sure. But that does nothing to support godspeed's assertion that there's no such thing as an atheist.
Your god says these things are not gods, atheists don't say they are gods.
Even if your god considers valuing sex or money over him worship that STILL does not entail a belief on their part in a deity.
And so they would remain atheists.
Can you point out where my reasoning is in error

@Pikachu In your mind you don't believe in any god so I can call you an atheist. BUT, in Gods view and in my view you value something and almost worship it. I don't know what that is. It could be your mate, your job, science, debating in an honest way, your health etc. How is it a god in my view because that is what's important to you and takes first place and you live your life prioritizing it first, instead of God Jehovah! If we don't put God first we are walking on thin ice in life, because it will all go away.

You know that’s the standard rhetoric. “You must worship something “
