Can we stop saying that atheists are afraid to believe in god? [Spirituality & Religion]

Who the heck wouldn't want to believe that death is not the end and that we'll be reunited with our loved ones?

It seems to me that in fact fear is one of the strongest motivators TO believe in a god which soothes the terrors of death, oblivion and separation.

Atheists ARE afraid to believe in God, for it requires sickly corrupting of reason.

Apart from that, believers are also right about eternal existence being possible. They're just wrong about magical God, heaven, and spirit. Nature is all it takes.

You need to do a serious rethink before posting anything about atheism again.

I think i'm good, actually. Nothing you've said has really given me cause to rethink but i'm happy to carry on the discussion.
For instance, i'm not sure what about your statement there should be considered an impetus for me to rethink atheism. Could you be more specific?

Also, if you have a moment i wouldn't mind a response to my last post in your thread.
@Silverwings Don't worry, "she" is probably a man in his 60s with a fake profile.

@LeopoldBloom which she are you referring to?
@Silverwings

lol "i think i'm good" as in "No i think my understanding of atheism is just fine".
