Well atheism is nothing but people that like their sins and are mad at God and Christians for disturbing a nice evening with their preaching. They feel good in their sin, they like to FEEL good. Because God requires change. They are feelers.
Christians are logical and look at their life and see that it isn't worth it to be stubborn and reject God. I am a person who feel deeply but wont act on my feelings all the time because I rather want Heaven, success, and God to answer my prayers! I want a nice life not a bunch of disasters. And you are right it is because of fear of God because I see peoples lives and I want his blessings. But I'll admit its a process to get there. And God has to draw a person to himself I believe, before He saves them.

@Carazaa
But that's not true. I'm not an atheist because i want to sin. I'm an atheist because i find the evidence that a god exists to be unconvincing. How can you claim that atheists are mad at a being they don't believe in? Are you mad at jafar from aladdin or Cruella from 101 dalmatians?
This is an atheist sitting here telling you this. Are you going to accept that as an answer or will you insist that you know better?

Isn't that a little arrogant?
You accused atheists of not wanting to hear answers. Isn't that what you're doing right now?
You, a theist insist that despite not having the experience of being an atheist, you know better.
Would you think it was fair of me to insist -even in the face of your explanation - that you only believe in god because you need a security blanket against the fear of death and oblivion?

@Carazaa I'm not mad at God. I'd like to know what sins you think I like. I appreciate your belief in God and will only argue with you about creation and misinterpretation of science. But the idea that I'm mad at your God and that I like sinning is ridiculous.
@Carazaa
I didn't say you are ignorant, i said you were being arrogant.
ExACTLY, carazaa. Exactly!
It's my view that theists come to faith in large part as a comfort from the terrors of the unknown.
But if you tell me that you, carazaa believe in god because of evidence in your life (and you have), i'm not going to sit here and insist that you're wrong, that i know better and that in fact you just believe out of fear.
Do you understand what i'm saying? Why i characterized your earlier statement as arrogant?

You seem to know what motivates Christians right? You said we are afraid of God? You know better?

Well i'm sorry i offended you. I took offense as well, i'm just trying not to let it get in the way of a dialogue.
So let's just divorce ourselves from offense and discuss the point logically.
Did you understand the point i was making in my last post? About your reasoning for your belief superseding my assumptions about why you believe and that perhaps you should consider granting me the same courtesy?

@wilderflower I think a strong Christian will not always act out their feelings because of wanting to please God!
