People are entitled to their own set belief rather it be Atheism, Paganism, Christianity, Judaism, Islam or Wiccan. People are not entitled to put down anyone else's belief system nor are they entitled to make assumptions why they believe the way they do.

@Carazaa No one is forcing you to do anything. You don't even have to read or respond if you don't want to. What we object to is when religious bigots affect us in our daily lives by imposing restrictions based solely on their religion. How would you like it if Hindus took over America and outlawed meat eating? Or Jehovah's Witnesses outlawing blood transfusions, Mormons outlawing coffee, etc.?

@LeopoldBloom I don't agree with restricting you anything, that's someone else. Well except marriage. It is an institution from God and only God can change it not the state! It is a Holy Union! That doesn't mean people cant love each other but marriage is not secular it has standards that God intituded as a replication of Jesus love for his bride the church, it is very Holy. I can't change it at all no matter if I want to, because then we get Gods judgement on our country I believe. Because He made it very clear that it is one man and one woman for life, that's it.

@Pikachu As Nietzsche said, the Christians pulled the Old Testament out from under the Jews' feet, by claiming that it is nothing more than an extended prologue to the Gospels.
But my favorite observation is Van Gogh's, who upon reading the Bible, commented that you'd think the only people in the world at that time were Jews.
That's what I like about Mormonism. The United States is arguably the most important country in the world, so it would be strange if God was only focused on the Middle East, with nothing of note happening here.

At the moment and not for so very long. There was much more going on over there before the last couple centuries.
What i like about mormanism is that it's so obviously fake. I mean, i don't believe the other christian mythology either but mormanism is just so blatantly a con job.

@Pikachu Interestingly, there's more evidence for Joseph Smith's Golden Tablets than there is for Jesus' resurrection. The Golden Tablets were viewed and handled by actual, documented people like Hyrum Smith and Oliver Cowdery, whose identities are beyond question. Contrast this with the resurrection that was witnessed by nameless, unknown individuals who didn't even bother to write down what happened until 30-120 years later.
@LeopoldBloom
lol were they though? Is there more evidence that the tablets were real or is it just recent enough that we have documentation of the people named?

@Pikachu The recent recordkeeping helps. But I never fail to be amused by Christian bigots who dismiss the Mormons, then claim the Gospel account "must be true because hundreds of people witnessed it."
As I told Caranzaa, let Jesus rise up in my living room right in front of me, and I'll definitely take notice.

@LeopoldBloom God has warned us of visions, it could just be a case of mental illness, or drug use, or food poisoning, or cry for attention. We don't know that vision is from God. I personally don't trust my eyes or experiences to that extent. I trust the Bible with my life. And if I am wrong then call me a fool. But I have tested God where he says "test me and I'll show you what I can do" And his promises are amazing. It has taken me a life time to get here, and I am not an easy person to convince.
@LeopoldBloom
Yes i do agree that this is flawed logic and not evenly applied to other religions.

@Carazaa See if you can challenge God to appear in person in the room I’m in right now,in a way I can understand.
If he can’t or won’t do that, then his existence is indistinguishable from his inexistence.

@LeopoldBloom Satan will appear for you! I don't want to challenge God. He doesn't need to prove anything to me at all. He is God, all I have to do is to be obedient to Him,Love Him,and Love people. Then hell take good care of me.
Carazaa · F
@LeopoldBloom If you want to know God then ask him for wisdom to know the truth. But I would repent and really want truth before you do that. And then read the Bible and ask God to show you what he means. God has promised to give us wisdom if we ask for wisdom.
LeopoldBloom · M
@Carazaa I just did, and nothing happened.
Carazaa · F
@LeopoldBloom Well good that Satan didn't appear in your room. Then God is protecting you from evil. We find God in the Bible. Not in vissions. Jesus in the last verse of the Bible warned that we can not add to the Bible. God doesn't talk to people now. Why did he say that? So we would know the truth from the Bible and not be confused what is the truth.
LeopoldBloom · M
@Carazaa The Bible is nonsense. I need objective, irrefutable proof. If you can't provide that, then at least admit that your belief is based on nothing more than personal opinion.
