How will you do this, as an adoptive son, which He prefers, or as someone He has to judge, which breaks His heart? For your own sake, I pray that it will be as His adoptive son.

The accepted meaning of words change over time, that's what happens with a dynamic language. I would propose that is the reason for the different versions of the Bible. Each one has the same context, but the language varies.

I also notice that you didn't use "religion" as an example of incorrectly defined words. You seem to have had significant issues with it in the past.
