Religion should be classed as a "adult" activity, like alcohol & tobacco etc, you have to be 18+ to participate.
Age of reason etc, stop the child indoctrination.

@Harriet03 Some of the more responsible religious groups impose that limit on themselves. I know Pagan groups, for example, that won't admit anyone under the age of 18.

Any religion that attempts to indoctrinate impressionable children or targets the vulnerable is beneath contempt.

@Harriet03 Yes, there aren't many responsible religious groups. Some are just so desperate to boost their numbers they can't afford to let morals get in their way.

@Sharon Prayer in schools etc, guarantees a never ending supply. That's why they lobby so hard for it, knowing if it doesn't happen. In 2/3 generations it will be finished!

@Harriet03 Yes, the law used to say "religion" (1944 Education Act) but in 1988 (?), thanks in part to the unelected church representatives in Parliament (the House of Lords), it was changed to give emphasis to christianity. :(
