In your own opinion . I saw a post about Catholics that there evil . Why do you think they are ? [Spirituality & Religion]

I do not think Catholics are evil. It is the power structure that rotted. When any organization cares more about its public image than the private truth, it starts hiding things that should not be hidden, but brought out into the light and dealt with.

Every Catholic is different so they're not all bad. For instance there was a nun who was a human rights worker but was killed by one of Reagan's anti Communist far right militias so there are outliers.

If more people were like her, I'd like them more.

I'd probably like Catholics and Christians more if they weren't so institutionalized by the church, which is the primary reason I see it as evil.

For instance, most countries got to be primarily Catholic through colonialism and slavery.

I know correlation does not equal causation but I have noticed all the countries with a lack of women's reproductive health, anti gay and other authoritarian policies are heavily religious in some form.

If it isn't Catholic, it's some other one similar to them. But there are a lot of countries in which are heavily Catholic that have horrible human rights records.

All the countries have one thing in common, the church holds political power.

For that reason alone, it is evil to me.

We are not here to judge each other but to Love One Another.

Anyone saved by the blood of Jesus Christ is righteous, Catholic or not.

Yes Catholic priests and leaders have sick and strange ideas that they can abuse, rape children and cover it up , then preach to others about sin

Don't know about evil but I was brought up a Catholic and had rejected the religion by 14 and have been an atheist ever since.They have strange ideas.

People tend to judge whole groups. To an extent it's not a bad idea as groups hold ideologies. The problem however is that not all think the same. Yes many priests have done evil things to children, there are however many good priests out there as well.

I don’t think they are, any more than any other religious group. But religion doesn’t seem to make [b]any[/b] group particularly kind.
